URGENT! How long do I need to wear these for?!

Hello everyone,

Just a quick question. On the day of your operation you get given a pair of these socks that you have to wear. How many days do you have to keep these socks on after your operation?

Hi Hun nurse said I had to keep mine on for 5 days xx

Hi Rael, between 5 & 7 days or until you are mobilising as normal as for some people it takes slightly longer than 7 days x

5 days I got told. So pretty ????

I was told 2 days as im not completely immobile and im walking around x

Thank you girls, I don’t know why everyone gets told different stuff all the time lol, but I will keep on for 7 days just to be on the safe side x

There to stop you getting a blood clot, like the girlies said it depends how mobile you are and healthy as the more mobile you are post surgery the less likely you are to develop a blood clot 🙂 xx

I’m case ur unsure just get hold of a nurse to check ur notes. I wore mine but was at risk of a blood clot prior to surgery anyway and nearly got one 7days post op which was mega scary I had to see my surgeon and get special medication to stop it fxx
