Hi all, I am booked in for vaserlipo in 2 weeks at Fenchurch street, has anyone had this done as I have a few questions ?
Is the procedure done at Fenchurch St ?
How far in advance are you told an arrival time?
Did anyone stay nearby or travel home and return 48 hrs later for a check up, or is it possible to have the check up done on day 4?
I live about 60 miles away and am wondering if the taxi ride would be bareable the alternative is staying in a hotel but this will involve 2 or 3 nights stay and will add considerably to the cost. Will be grateful for any advice.

I had mine done in Birmingham.
You get your admission time about 2 or 3 days before the op.
You must go to your 48 hour check, its important for them to check your dressings and change them or take them off and make sure that you are ok.
My mom drove me back after the op, about a 45 minute drive. I was in a lot of pain and felt very sick but it was do able. Anything longer would be tough, but I had a pretty rough op tbf and no one else on here seems to have had it as bad as me lol so maybe it would be fine if you can sleep through it.
    Hope this helps.

I had mine at Fenchurch. I stayed in a hotel just 5 mins away, the ibis London City. I wouldn’t recommend a long ride home, I was quite ill after and could hardly function for 2 days after. I was told my admission time 2 days before but they changed it the night before. My op was on the Friday and yes they do it at Fenchurch, then my follow up was on the Monday, but originally booked in for the Tuesday, then got in for the Monday. I went to Bristol fir this cos it’s closer to me.

I stayed the night before and the 2 nights after, I originally booked just 2 nights but needed 3! Then I got the train home.

Lucy I had a bad time too! I was ok in the op but reacted badly with the sedation cos I needed so much!!! I keeps waking up and feeling Iain. I was so ill and throwing up, for hours! I was at the clinic for 10 hours! Xx

That does sound really bad! Mine wasn’t that bad. I was fine after it was during the op. I wasn’t sedated properly so I felt everything and it was horrible! xxx

Oh dear !! So potentially the op or the early recovery doesn’t sound too pleasant, I will try not to think about it and focus on the problems of whether to stay or travel back. Will be bricking it the day before no doubt lol.
