Hi all I’m 3dpo today feeling very bloated today haven’t ‘been’ since early Monday morning going to try some senakot today see if that helps I’ve reduced the amount of co-codamol to 1 tablet now instead of 2 as I was feeling sickly
Managing to lift my arms a little today too but don’t want to push myself too much x

Hey Jackie, if you’re taking cocodamol, it can clog you up and stop you going. Maybe try green tea/ peppermint, I think this is meant to be good if your stomach is hurting and can’t go. Or hot boiled water. Hope your recovery goes well ???? xx

Hey Jackie. I was exactly the same, I was little walking Buddha ha. I decided to stop my cocodamol as I hadn’t gone to toilet before my
Op anyway due to nerves I think, andso by day 3 o stopped taking them and just used paracetamol and ibuprofen. I drank peppermint tea to help, and I massaged my belly which sounds so ridiculous haha. But I was so uncomfortable it helped with the pain.
Try a constipation reliever and see if that helps.
After I stopped taking my cocodamol I managed to go to toilet. I was bloated for over a week after, only now I’d say it’s really gone down.
And unfortunately for me my partner was working from the beginning of my recovery so he meal prepped a lot of easy things for me to be able to make, like pastas and stuff which. I was happy to eat cold, or reheat in the microwave and so now I’m just reducing my carb intake for a while as I ate so much of them in the beginning of my recovery haha. Hope all goes well x

I reckon normal tea will help cos caffeine stimulates your bowel. Make sure you have a high fibre diet too. I stared eating bran flakes to help as well

Not sure if this is still an issue, but I felt awful..
“Oil of peppermint” tablets from holland and Barrett- 2 after each meal, 100% natural and after 6 days of feeling awful- I was right as rain in about 8 hours.
    Hope you’re feeling better, Xx
