Morning girls! I’m brand new here! I had my BA on Thursday ( 8th May ) went for 450 unders high profile, I’m 32 , 5ft 3 and about 9.5 stone.. Day of the op after coming round I felt ok, same on day 1 post op really but yesterday really started feeling sore in the incision area, nothing too extreme but feels like a scab is forming and it’s tight, that kind of thing! My bum and lower back are aching so much from sleeping sitting up!! I know it’s only very early days ( now on day 3 po ) but when do you start feeling a bit more normal again? I have a 10 month old daughter and a 7 year old son too it’s horrible not being able to cuddle them!

Bless you Leah I’m not going to lie I thought I’d go in get mine done and be back to normal in 7 days I was wrong!!

I’m 16 days post op now and and yesterday was the 1st day I could clean properly and felt normal!

Don’t rush your self you will only cause the recovery period to take longer in my view
It will be worth it and the girls on here will give you loads of hints and tips.

My son is 7 and he learnt fast the best way to cuddle was for him to sit with his head on my lap so I could stroke him.

Try to remember it’s not for ever but we all heal at different paces and you will look great afterwards.

Hi @leah yer I agree with @jane, just take your time with everything! Everyone has different recovery.. It’s been a major op so just be careful and enjoy the time off ha I had a sore back the first week too! I ended up having more painful boobs in the second week!
You may go through various sensations, but if your worried at all about anything just ring or text your PC/nurse and they will listen & advise! I didn’t feel ready to drive at day 7.. Think I got back in the drivers seat at day 10 but even then it was a bit of a struggle!
    Take care xxx

Ah thanks girls, think I got myself a bit panicked before as it started hurting when I was breathing in, think I need to keep on top of the pain killers rather than waiting for pain to hit me! Hate not bring able to wash properly either!! Going to take each day as it comes now as I know it will be worth it in the end :o) xx
