Ever since my op I’ve been throwing up, come round from my op on Monday and was sick a lot then they put me on a drip and that sorted me out, day after (1dpo) wasn’t sick once and today (2dpo) I’ve been sick again. Has this happened to anyone else?

Poor you Hun, it’s probably the effects of the general anaesthetic! I have been terrible sick with generals before which is why I’m now considering a local and sedation for my ba. Stay hydrated and rest lots and I hope you’re feeling better soon xx

Might be what pain killers your on? I wasn’t sick in the hospital. Actually didn’t have any painkillers in the hospital as I didn’t need any. I took some on the night when I got to the hotel and I had the worst sickness ever, I wasn’t actually sick. But I was really hot and sweating, my mam had to put a cold compress on my head and I had major upper lip sweat. Was awful, worst feeling sick I’ve ever had. I’ve figured out which one of my pain killers it is and avoiding that one! Make sure you eat aswell before taking them, even if it’s a slice of toast x

Yeah it could be, thank you Louise xx

Jessica im only on cocodamol, ibuprofen and some antibiotics they’ve given me also I’m taking arnica tablets. In the hospital they told me it would be cos I’m dehydrated so they gave me a few things then put me on a drip after that I was fine, I’ve been keeping myself rarely hydrated since being home so I dunno. Aw no nothing worse, yeah I was getting really hot and sweaty like I know exactly when I’m gonna be sick. I have been. Hope you’re well anyway x

Yeah it’s the codeine in the cocodamol that was making me feel so sick xx

    Hi Georgie!

I was fine up until 5 days post op and then started being sick! I couldn’t pin point what it was, maybe I was taking the pain killers on an empty stomach? Anyways turns out that I had had a can of coke and it was reacting badly with the antibiotics, so make sure your not drinking anything fizzy! try water, orange juice and milk. Thats all I’m on at the moment! also congrats on your new set 🙂

I was sick after surgery and for the first few days, i just stopped taking strong painkillers and it helped but then i was in pain! but the sickness can be from being put to sleep, the medication plus your bodies way of adapting to all the change its been put through! hope you start to feel better x x x I’m 4WPO now x

I had my op on Monday and have been feeling sick – I stopped taking the co codaomol on Wednesday as I thought it was them but have thrown up today. I think it’s the anaesthetic still being in my system. The sickness has been the worst thing about this experience, I’ve had barely any pain but constantly feeling queasy. Hope you’re feeling better Georgie xx
