    Hey ladies
Should I be wearing my Macom on the tightest hook? The nurse put it on the loosest hook after my op and that’s how I’ve worn it (POD5) since but don’t know if it should be tighter :-/
How do you wear yours? X

Hi I’m POD3 and I’m still wearing mine on loosest strap where nurse put it. I tried to put in on tighter strap yesturday as I felt I could but after about 10 mins my boobs were aching and it felt to tight around my chest so it’s more comfortable on the loose one. I’m gona keep it on this until my seven day check as I feel well supported. Hope your healing ok xx

I had my strapping of last night and the nurse put mine on on the loosest hook she said it doesnt want to be tight as it could cause problems with incisions xx

I had mine on the loosest for the first week and then gradually moved to the tightest when I was confident enough to pull the bra together a bit more…was too scared for the first week lol x

Thanks ladies!! I’ve been too scared to make it tighter. It’s weird doing it up and that’s just on the loosest hook. Taking some time to get used to! Hope you are all recovering well and loving your new boobies xx

hey hun! the nurse put mine on the loosest but after 2 nights in my macom i was in so much pain and discomfort and I had read on here that another girl wasnt ready for the macoms she wore a non compression till she was over the worst of the pan then wore her macom. so anyway POD2 after a horrid night i changed into an asda sports bra and felt soooo much better! I wore the asda one POD2 then overnight, POD3 then overnight and POD4 late evening switched back to macom where it felt waaay better than it had before so I figured my body clearly hadnt been ready for the compression. I wore it back on the loosest hooks POD4 and POD6 at night time my mum saw my bra and suggested i tighten it up now. So i did and I felt more supported and more compression.. Now POD9 the bank of the macom under my boobs is loose and wrinkled! I think this is because my swelling has gone down and I am technically a 30 back! I’ve been shopping today to try find a smaller back sports bra to make sure that my boobs are propperly supported but didnt have any luck today!

so my advice is go with your body!
try the tighter fastening and see how it feels
if it hurtd or is uncomfy you can always loosen it!
    xxxx
