    Hello!
Not that I’m some massively overweight girl, but I am trying to drop some weight before my op as I want to really feel good about myself with my new additions…. (I don’t want to feel bigger than I am with my new bigger boobs!)…my question is though, whilst my PC and surgeon hasn’t said anything about my weight (I’m 12 stone and 5″7 ) I’m worried that in my pre op appointment they will bring up that I’m too heavy or overweight for the op?! Reading on here there are a number of reasons why ops are refused or postponed …..seems that most girls on here are super fit and thin, but has anyone ever experienced anything about weight issues? Is anyone else losing weight in preparation for their op?
    Thanks xx

I’m 5ft 10 and weighed 12st on op day. I’d contact your pc if your concerned about a potential weight issue.

Hiya, I’m not similar stats but I’m a size 6 only weigh around 7 stone which worried me cos of being so tiny! So I went to a nearest boots store on the machines to check my BMI it tells you if your underweight/overweight I was 19 something which means I was fine that’s one way of checking out if that helps plus at your pre op the nurse will weigh you and check your height to tell you the same anyway about what your BMI is to see if your ok for surgery my nurse told me the exact same as what a machine in a boots store did X

hey, dont worry, I’m 5,6 and 12 stone and my weight was never mentioned they just asked for it on the form (its so they can work out ml for anaesthetic etc). dont worry had my op no the 13th and everything went fine. xxx

hey hun! i am 5 foot 5 and 7 stone 4 and i was at the brink of being too small for the op at 17.3 BMI. but your PC or surgeon would express any concerns of weight affecting your chances of surgery. ask your nurse at pre op if you’re worried but I wouldn’t think it would be an issue 🙂 xx

Hi 🙂 from what my surgeon has said he prefers you to have more weight! I had my first op November last year and I’m 5ft2 and I was 9stone3lbs, and he kept telling me I had to put weight on! Which I didn’t understand because my bmi wasn’t low at all! It was healthy, I went back to have revision surgery 2 days ago and I’ve lost 6kg since my last op and he wasn’t happy because now I’m 8stone5lbs and he wanted me to put weight on when I was nearly a stone heavier!! My Bmi is right in the middle I think it’s 21 which is normal. So I wouldn’t worry about your weight at all! Xxx
