what did you tell your work?

Just wondering as I work in a very male orientated environment if you was totally honest to your boss about having time off and what for!

Im off for two weeks at xmas so planning on having my op for ba and tummy tuck then but will need at least another two weeks off when I am due to come back. Should I go and see my boss (a bloke) before hand or just send a docs note in explaining why I am off sick!
I think I am more nervous about this then the bloody op!

Any suggestions????

I’m planning on telling my work, most folk I’ve told I’m thinking about it anyway. I’m proud I’m thinking of having it done. However with my work they won’t pay me for my time off for cosmetic surgery so I’ve got to try an swap my days off around or take unpaid leave because I have no holiday entitlement left and it doesn’t start again till October and I don’t want to wait that long to have it done. X

Hi I’m having BA and TT on sat. I’m lucky in that I have four weeks holiday so I’m not telling work but yes I’d def think you will need that time to recover. Know what you mean tho- I’d feel uncomfortable telling my boss! Ccx
