What do i pack for a day case??

Im having my surgery tomorrow and i dont
Know what to pack ?

Waaaaaa! How exciting!!!
Slippers to walk to theatre in (I looked an idiot in my converse gown and sock!) and maybe a dressing gown as the theatre gown opens at the back. Snacks and drinks for afterwards if you want anything in particular. They do give you juice, tea coffee and toast. Books, mags or ipad to keep you occupied before the surgery, there is a TV in your room though with a good selection of channels.
Your PO bra or Macom obviously! I took my V pillow too for the journey back home in the car. Change of clothes, something comfy like trackies and a sip up top too.

And how im going to sleep at night as i sleep on my
Stomach or in like the recovary position lol ?

You’ll be ok chick. Not gonna lie I found it painful but only in the first 5ish days then it gets easier and by day 10 I was totally fine. Just ride it out, keep on top of your meds and chill out knowing that it will pass and you’ll soon be shopping for new bras!!! Or you might be one of the lucky ones and have no pain. If it makes you feel any better id do it all again so it cant be that bad 🙂
Sleeping is a bit of a pain, especially in the first 2 week as you need to be propped up but you’ll cope, I used 2 pillows and my V pillow and also my travel neck pillow was a god send! To be honest the co-codamol knocked me out so I could have slept on a washing line!! Now im 4 weeks so can sleep flat but keep turning on my side (which you’re not supposed to do till 6 weeks) again its a bit of a pain but not forever. I used to sleep in the recovery position and tbh im frightened to even try! haha! xx

Have you decided what you are going for? I think ive seen some posts from you been unsure? xx

I want 450 hp unders if they fit, im praying they will ??
Mr mounir said he will tey git them in if not
It will be 425 hp unders ?
I want to look like this with no bra on ?
She started as a B like me and had 450 hp partials
But shes slimmer than me shes size 6-8, im a size 8-10 sometimes a 12 depending where i buy pants from ?

Hi gals, I’m getting mine done Friday. Maybe I’m completely wrong but I was under the impression you brought your post op bra when you go see the nurse the week after? Am I completely wrong?? HELP xx

All packed just snacks to get in the morning

Got my macom bra, a 34e and 36e as i dont know
What size il need ?
Also bought a wedge pillow to use at night, its quite comfy and
Supports the bottom of your back too ?

@claireellen I havnt had my op yet but been to see my surgon & pc today and they said you were your post op bra from day one on top of your strapping for suport & carry on wearing them till your 6week check up xx

Oh good lord!!! I feel so under prepared now. I’ve had very little information from my PC and nurse. My nurse said to bring my bras with me when I see her the week after and she will fit them for me. Op do I need to bring my own strap too?? Freaking out

My nurse told me because I will have strapping all over I won’t need wear a post op bra until I have it removed as the strapping is there for support and keep them in place xx

Good luck tomorrow Janelle – hope all will be fine. I’m having my surgery on 25th July (not with MYA) but i have similar stats to you and i’m wanting 460cc hp partials, also hoping they fit as otherwise it will be 420cc for me.
Look forward to hearing how it all goes, sure all will be fine, at least now you are packed!!

@claireellen I’m not sure about the band my surgon doesn’t use them, Maby contact your pc to make sure as maby all surgons are different ☺️ Xx

Ok in case anyone has the same question, just found out it’s all based on surgeon preference and if you get under or overs. Some surgeons don’t use strapping for unders. Phewwww

Clare you need to take your bras with you as the nurse will help you out one on before you leave. You have to wear this for 6 weeks (not the same bra!) not all surgeons use breast bands, some use strapping, some nothing. I had a breast band as de Andrea likes to use them. You don’t get this yourself Mya provide it and I think I just woke up with mine on (although it’s a bit of s blur!) if you have a breast band you wear it day and night for 4 weeks xxx

I would definitely say take your bras as my surgeon usually uses strapping but decided to take mine off and said I had great support with my Macom bra. I would of been screwed if he had suddenly decided he didn’t want me to have strapping on and I hadn’t of taken a bra with me. Good luck with your op’s! I was one of the lucky ones I think but I’ve had no pain and taken no meds since day 2! Also do not worry about drains. It’s just an odd sensation and is over by the time you can even say it’s weird! Xx

Iv been in really bad pain all day but I’m starting to feel better now so hoping tomorrow won’t be so bad
Did you sleep sitting up last night? I did ha ha was so uncomfortable and in pain when I moved

Yea i was achy when i tried to get up to go to toilet or re-position myself as i kept slipping down lol
My bum was achin too

No iv not taken any pictures yet I’m to scared to take my bra of lol Because I’m in so much pain
But I’m going to look tomorrow x

Its a relief for a few seconds when u take it off
But get someone to help u fastn it bk up as it hurts a little
U hold the top together while they fasten from the bottom
