Hi Kristina, at your pre-op your nurse will go over everything with you about the procedure, what to expect after & give you information packets. Then she will do your height, weight, blood tests and before pictures (if you would like them) then you can ask her any questions you may have 🙂 also my nurse made quite a big deal about me taking my NHS number with me so I would do take that too just to be on the safe side! 🙂 xx

You will meet with your nurse, who will go over all your details with you, as well as give you a lot of new information which will be written down in a folder that you take home with you. This will be about common side effects, emergency side effects with contact number provided, information about overs/unders etc. They take your height and weight, as well as blood tests (which you have to pay for) and take pictures of your breasts.

You will also book in for your next appointment with the nurse for after your surgery x

@stacey the nurser told me that it would be added to my finance and that I didn’t have to pay on the day, however as soon as I left the clinic, I got a text from MYA saying that I had to pay and to transfer the money to them xx

@stacey I do feel like there was a lot of hidden charges such as having to pay for my blood test, I had to pay £20 for my doctor to send a letter to MYA to approve that I could have this operation.

I didn’t mind paying for the blood test then and there but I was confused why I was told one thing and then had to do another. I do feel like one bad thing about MYA and I am seeing it a lot over the forums, is one persons told one thing and someone else is told something completely different, when everyone should be getting all the same information.

@rael i total agree I feel that’s one bad think about mya it should all be same info we get told I didn’t have to pay for docs letter either but I’m guessing that’s down to docs ? Mya defentily needs to update a few bits and give everyone same info @lisa not everyone needs bloods doing it’s only if you have had something that could affect the op or your recovery xxx
