I’m 11 days PO now and my left scar looks so red and angry, she told me I can’t use bio oil until I go see her again for my 6 week check, has anyone used any oils on there scars quicker than this? Xx

Nope 6 weeks, its normal for them to look like this so early, you have to be patient x

I was told at my 1 week po not to use any moisturiser or any oils until I had been for my 6 weeks po due to the risk of infection xx

Ok I’ll leave it then and not oil then. Also they feel really hard like the scar tissue around it, is this normal
    Too? Xx

@jade thank you they do feel softer than when I first had them done so fingers crossed it’s the scars that feel hard and lumpy?! Will this disappear too in time? I know it’s early days but I’m so inpatient haha xx

I was told 6 weeks as well for bio oil Laura. When you say the scar is red and angry, is it also sore and hot? Just redness spreading from the incision site may be the start of infection so might be worth sending your nurse a pic just to be on the safe side xx

I started using moisturiser on mine from 2 weeks. I used palmers concentrated cocoa cream. Nurses instructions to well moisturise them the 2 week then from 3 weeks to massage the scars. I’ve had no problems. I thought you couldn’t out anything on them until 6 weeks but they are fine and actually look a lot better because mine were really raised and lumpy but seem to have improved alot xx

Well I’m no nurse and haven’t even been brave enough to look at mine yet lol, but yours looks okay. If there was infection, I think you’d get like a spreading redness on the skin around the wound. I’m finding mine uncomfortable. It seems no matter what bra, and how much extra dressing I chuck on them, they’re still being irritated during the day when I’m moving around. <sigh>, and it just gets you down. Sorry, feeling sorry for myself and a weary now lol Back to work tomorrow Ugh!! xx

Aww thanks ladies think I just need to look up the word ‘patience’ and maybe have some , sometimes
When im just sat not doing anything my boob can feel like it’s tightening it doesn’t happen often just now and again i really hope it’s not that capsuler contraction! Suppose it’s still only early days and they say it can take a few months for them to fully settle to how they are going to be so I guess I’ll just wait out xx

Laura, from what I understand, and someone please jump in if I’m wrong, but the risk of CC is down the line, when the body creates scar tissue inside around the implants. Your results look fab by the way 🙂

Laura, my scars look exactly the same as yours. I was feelung them today and worrying how hard and raised the tissue was but you’ve all reassured me this is normal. The nurse said they were fine at my 1 week check so like you i think i just need to be patient!
