When can you start lifting stuff at work again?

I’m 7 weeks post op now so I know I can do most things, but I was told you couldn’t lift for a few months. I need to lifts boxes of varied weights at work. When can I go back to lifting the way I did before the op?

Bump any idears roughly how long?? Thanks lady’s xxx

This would be really helpful to know as I have quite a physical job and I only have 2 wks booked off?

Hey hun I had unders and I work in a make up factory which includes packin and liftin really heavy boxes and I started back 3 week po and I was fine with liftin even tho I weren’t supposed too lol but it hasnt afftcted me I’m now 10 week po and still doin it 🙂 xx

That’s great cheers chelsie it’s good to hear! I can prob get away with only lifting light stuff for a while but I not told anyone at work I’m having BA so wanna be careful I don’t over do it, think they’ll all probably guess when I go bk after 2 wks hols with boobs I didn’t have b4 lol. X

Haha I didn’t tell anyone too and they still don’t know! I have to wear overalls and there quite baggy so you can’t really tell and we have a 2 week shut down over xmas so I just booked an extra week off so its all good 🙂 I was worried about goin back so early cuz I thort I’d be in agony and wouldn’t be able to move but I was suprised at how much I could actually do, don’t over do it if you don’t feel comfortable but your body shud tell you if its too much strain xx

Will def listen to my body, that’s great advice 🙂 I’ve been waiting for this op for 8 yrs (till I’d had my children) and I will do everything I need to, to look after them.
I work in a very male environment so didn’t wanna advertise it, I have a crappy uniform so I can cover up mostly at work at least till summer anyway.
