Hi Rachel .. I hope my op on Friday and I was ok after but yesterday and today I’ve been in a lot of pain .. I literally can’t move and when I do it really hurts exspecially when I sit up … Hopefully it will get better soon and it will all be worth it x

I’m going to say day 8ish… I’m 13 days PO and I’m fine now… I can’t lift in really high cupboards or anything or still struggle to get in 5th gear… But overall I’m fine… You should start seeing a difference in a couple Of days I was totally like you though in so much pain at first xx

Don’t worry, I promise it does get better! I’m 3 weeks post op tomorrow and although feeling drained what with being back at work I don’t really have any pain (unless I overdo it). I stopped taking painkillers on day 7 and every couple of days have been feeling more and more normal.
One thing I will say is that when the nurse clears you for sleeping flat on your back, listen to your body and of it doesn’t feel right then don’t do it

What are your stats if you dont mind me asking? xx

I’m nearly 4weeks post op and I would say I still get aches , especially if I over do things . I think by day 8 PO the pains had nearly gone ..,but bare in mind that every one is different and for some their recovery may be short or long

I’d say day 8/9 for me was a massive change. I’m two weeks today and feeling fine, still restricted with lifting arms high but that’s about it 🙂

I agree, I was like day 7 or 8. i didn’t drive for 2 weeks but still struggled to get into 5th after and would be sore by the end of a working day. I’m 6 weeks po now and still get slight pains when I do something I shouldn’t (such as lifting) so you need to keep it easy for a while x

day 7-8 for me too. it honestly gets so much better! once you’ve got past the first week you will breeze through the rest. i felt like i was never going to be able to sit up again or do anything for myself but now I’m 6 weeks post op and sometimes forget I’ve even had them done xx

@rachstu make sure you eat hun! Your body is desperately trying to repair and heal itself, so you need to give it fuel. Lots of fruit, veggies and protein 🙂 xx

I’m now on two days PO and knowing I’ve potentially got another five days until some sort of potential normality makes me want to cry ? Xxx

I had my op on Monday and I felt like I my have been a little too confident and overdid it pushing myself up off the settee yesterday. Iv been in soooo much pain today in my right side.
I had 300 in my left and 350 in my right. I feel like iv pulled a muscle, it’s under my arm to the side of my booby.it’s like a stabbing pain when I move.
