Hiya, I’ll be 6 weeks post op in 2 weeks time. Where’s the best place to get measured? Also do you have to book? Xx

You dont usually need to book, and it depends really as different shops measure for their own branded bras differently which is really annoying. I would get measured at Victoria’s Secret and M&S who tend to go smaller with measurements but will fit their own shops bras and most high street places you would shop. If you plan on buying bras from more professional underwear brands like Freya, Passionata or Chantelle for example you would need to be measured somewhere that specialises in the ‘real’ brands as they will measure you ‘properly’ which shocks most people as they end up being measured at a much larger size. My auntie works in a local underwear shop that stocks the professional brands like these and she explained it to me the other day, she is actually a 30G in these brands however in VS or M&S shes measured at a 34D!! Depends where you go! High street shops have a modernised way of measuring whereas specialist underwear brands measure the traditional way. I know this is a long winded answer but I found it quite interesting when she told me so girls check the brand before you buy in your regular size!

Have a look at boob or bust on Facebook. You take measurements and use the online calculator. Like the post above I got measured at Victoria’s Secret, the girl only took one measurement and told me I was a 34c, when I tried one on it clearly didn’t fit and the girl in the changing room told me I was a 34d. Bought loads of bras and a wk later I was finding them mega uncomfortable, I saw someone post on here about boob or bust so had a look and used the calculator and I measure a 30ff! I’d been wearing a band size too large so it wasn’t giving enough support and when you go down a band size you go up a cup size xx

Yeah I did, it should be here today so ill let you know! Im sceptical but I did do the band test on the ones that I got on VS and they are def too big. I also saw today on FB someone put a picture of about 8 different bras all a D cup but with different back sizes, all the cup are different sizes xx

I was really sceptical about the sizing, as I’ve worn a 34c for years, and did my measurements and came out as a 30f! So went into debenhams and tried on 30dd, 30e, 32dd and 30f, and wow the 30f fits really well and gave brilliant support, I will say it was a pain to do up though lol, I’m planning on going to bravissimo after my op, to get measured and buy bras once I’ve got the all clear 🙂

Hi ladies, so I was measured 2 weeks ago in Victoria’s secrets as a 34D, bras have been a bit uncomfortable and just thought it was as I haven’t worn a structured bra for 7 weeks. Tried the Boob and Bust calculator and measured a 30FF! WHAT?? I was shocked! Did the band test that they recommended and 34D is def way too big. 30FF arrived today and it fits and makes my boobies look awesome! Clearly been wearing the wrong sized bra all along! Im going to wear my 30FF and go get measured again and see what they say xx
