I got the i-Bra from Macom. That was purely down to being unsure but that it had a higher support rating! It was £10 more expensive that the Signature Bra from them though! xx

My op is in 12 days and I’ve brought one sports bra from asda which was £8 I’ve been in m and s and I didn’t like any of them, I’ve ordered the the signature Macon bra in 36 just in case how many sports bras did you ladies buy do I need atleast 6 I’m just worried that if I get two many to start and they don’t fit I’ll have to return them all, I never thought buying sports bras would be so stressful lol xxx

I was told to order my normal size too, so I did, but know some girls are advised to go up a back size- I asked my nurse and she said not to as needs to be so snug as its the compression of it that helps with the swelling & then supports everything, but diff nurses do seem to have diff opinions a little. When I tried it on pre-op I was stressing about how tight it seemed, but now post op I’m loving the tightness- only comfortable tight & it’s reassuring knowing that everything’s being kept in place… Don’t think I’d date walk downstairs without it on ?? On reflection now I think it felt so tight pre-op because I was so used to my normal bras being so loose and hanging off me all the time. I ordered two macoms in my normal size but wish I had a 3rd now. Only wearing them for max 1.5-2 days & then wash it (getting slightly neurotic) so the washers on a lot! When I’m back at work and moving more I’ll want one daily so having 3 just means having to put the washer on less often. 2 would be fine if you regularly do washing (I only do my own) or if you can be bothered to hand wash them… I didn’t feel up to that last week & am a bit of a lazy bum so about to order a 3rd! Xxx

Thank you for all your help Sarah, do Macom bra come tight huni I brought a 36 dd from asda and that seems ok, I always sports bras are tight. I think once I’ve had them done I’ll probably buy a few more especially if we need a new one on daily xxxx

It felt tight to me pre-op but only because there’s so much material compared to the bras I’d been wearing every day (tiny as barely needed one!). The straps are thick and strong and again mine had just been thin as never had to support weight! It was no tighter than a sports bra I guess but just felt so different from my other 32s because it’s made from compression material. Even straight after surgery it for me fine and the tightness honestly made me feel safe and it wasn’t too tight or sore right or anything like that. I’m POD 6 now and it’s a perfect fit and I’m obvs still swollen, so when swelling goes a little I think it’ll fit on the next hooks- got it on the wisest available ones at the mo. Im planning on macoms only until 6 weeks and then going to use them for sleeping in and to wear under sports bras for long runs- nurse recommended that. I even wear my Macom in the bath right now, which is more of a puddle, ha I really do love it don’t I?? Xxx

Ah, thank you Sarah H. You’ve reassured me loads! Yes, I want to make sure its all tight and secure – I don’t want my new babies moving a little! I ordered three as I’m hoping to wear a clean one every day and thought it would be easier in the thought of one on, one in the wash, one drying kind of thing. Luckily I live at home with my family still so there’s about two wash loads a day! I’ve got three Macoms in my normal size – two nude ones and one black. I wanted a white one, but they didn’t have one annoyingly. X

@jade…. Ahhhhh nice that it was of some help. I ordered my 3rd yesterday. They’re dead good when you’ve washed them, they somehow come out pretty dry & take hardly any time to be fully dry, which is handy! I got white but it’s really thin white and it’s see through so not that great for when you’re back at work etc if you were wearing a light coloured top too! My skin is quite orangey/dark olive so don’t know if that’s why it seems see through?? Tried my friends nude and that’s much better with coverage… So don’t feel sad about the White! Xxx
