Well all booked… but not sure what sports bra to get. Nurse said not to get those that fasten at front as may irritate wound, on here many people have pics of them. PC said to buy from m and s, nurse said asda are just as good and cheaper. Please help and advise me to find the best one. xx

Hi Jane I bought and wore a post surgical bra from m and s (ugly nanna bra but commended by the nurse) for the first week then converted to a low impact asda sports bra (comes in grey and pink) I also have asda comfort support bras for during the day (both about £7) only problem with the asda sports bra is its pull over your head x

Can’t beat M&S sports bras their range is good and when it comes down to it cost is of marginal significance

I bought the ones that fasten at the front.. Can’t really see difference between that irritating wound and one that fastens at back as fastenings are in middle where no scar?! And post op a front fastening one is so much easier to put on! I bought a Macom bra (buy online) that was recommended by my pc and it really was soooo comfortable post op altho slightly pricey! Also bought the sports bras from M&S that zip up at front! Def recommend them!

How do you guage what size sports bras to buy ready for the first few weeks?! I’m getting so confused with sizes, i’m hoping t become a C cup…should a D sports bra be ok so you think for swelling etc?
its so hard! trying to get organised but get too confused ha

Most ladies on here swear by either the M&S zip up one or their Macom ; both are do up at the front! I think it depends entirely on the person, think the good thing with the Macom is you don’t have to worry about the cup size! Shop around maybe get a variety and see which ones suit you after your op and those that don’t take back ? 🙂 xx

if ur gonna be DD or bigger, the sportjock d3 sportsbra stretches from DD to G, so u just have to order it by back size (like the macom) and its a zip up front! also it comes down way past where your incisions will be x
