who to phone?

Hi ladies, I’m due to have my op this Sunday & told myself if I don’t get a call by Thursday with my admission time, then I’m going to phone to find out! But who do we phone? Mya or the actual hospital I’m having my surgery at? Thank you xxxxxxx

hi im also having mine on Sunday. spoke to MYA yesterday and they said they will phone with addmission time. could be as late as Saturday tho. im going to Manchester Bridgewater xx

My op is Thursday and only got my admission time last night the nurse at the clinic called me xx

😉 Chloe thats great!!!! i havn’t seen many posts from people going to Bridgewater or who have been there. My PC said they will definately phone and leave an answer phone message if you dont answer when they get the admission times. She did say its usually 5 days before but can sometime be as late as the Saturday. I would like to know ASAP as i have a 2 and a half hour drive ;(
They also said the nurse and your PC will contact before the day xx

I haven’t seen anyone mention Bridgewater either lol, I’ve Googled them & the hospital looks lovely! From the outside that is haha… yes it would be nice to know well in advance so you can get prepared etc!! I’ve added you Alex, let me know what time your admission is when you find out 🙂 I may see you there!! Xxx

Yes! Was told day case admissions are usually 7.30, 8.30 or 9.30 how r u feeling about the op? Xx

I’m alright, thinking more about finishing work on Thursday for 4 & half weeks lol then I reckon my nerves will really kick in! I dreamt last night they phoned me with my admission time :s was 7:30 hahaha xxxxxxxx

Lol I’ve just had my call. My admission time is 12.00 thought that was late for a daycase but all good……how about you? Xx

Lol. Yep pretty nervous now!!! It was mya that called. My Macon bra has just arrived too so really sinking in that it’s actually happening… Lol xx

I got my time alex! Lol 1pm, which put a downer on it a little bit as I wanted to be in early morning & out to be back to my children but ahh well :))) waited long enough sure I can wait a bit longer lol… xxx

I’m waiting for a bra to arrive haha just this minute had a to saying it will be delivered tomorrow :)) exciting stuff! X

Whoop will defo see thou there then!!!! Exactly the same. I’m 130 miles from Manchester so wanted an early one so I could get home before kiddies went to bed. How many do you have and what ages? Have you got plenty of help? I’ve only got a week off work lol. Xx

I have a little girl she’s just turned 7 last Friday 🙂 & have a little boy who is 20 months! My daughter is okay to be able to do a lot of things herself now & my son is going to be in nursery for 5 days a week for the first 2 weeks, he finishes at 6 so his dad will be back then! I’ve taken 4 & half weeks off work which starts from Friday 🙂 I purposely chose to take time off & have my op near 6 weeks holiday so I don’t need to do school run & don’t have to pay childcare for my daughter as well as my son :)).. how many children have you got? Xxxx

I have 3! My son is 14 so will hopefully help me with the other 2. I also have 2 girls one is 4 and the other is 10 months. They dont finish school/pre school till wed and have my mother in law coming the first couple of days. I chose now too so i wouldnt have to drive to school. I have my own business so can only afford a week off….need to be driving again by day 8!! Oops. Xx

Aww we’ll cope, us mothers have it built in don’t we 😉 lol… your 14 year old will be a big help lol I’m having my 11 year old sister over for a few days to keep my daughter occupied haha.. hopefully I’ll see you Sunday then! If you see me say hi lol I don’t know what you look like because you have no profile pic lol… are you showering when you get to the hospital? I want to go out in Manchester in the morning to treat myself to my fave perfume that I’ve bloody ran out of haha.. so I’ll have a bit of makeup on & not going to be the freshest so hoping they allow you to shower before xxx

He will be helpful if i can drag him away from his computer lol. Even if its just to keep my 4 yr old occupied. Im only really worried about not being able to lift fearne ( my baby). I was just going to shower in morn before i leave. Not sure if we can shower there before op? Do we need to take robe and slippers do you know. I know some places provide them but im not sure about bridgewater. Have u got someone going with you? Good idea about the shopping trip….if it wasnt going to take me 2 an a half hours to get there i may have gone on a spree too lol. Xx
