I’ve had 2 weeks off but I was told NO lifting at all when I come back to work 🙁 I work with 2-3 year olds too so I was gutted when the nurse told me I can’t lift for at least 6 weeks xxx

Like Sophie said – absolutely no lifting for 6 weeks.

I have a 3 year old and the nurse told me absolutely no picking him up, only if absolutely necessary (obviously sometimes we have to!!).

She said it could move the implants out of place, particularly if you’re having partials. In those first six weeks your boobs are settling into their pockes and starting to build the layer of tissue around them.

Just be very cautious hun, get the other staff to do the picking up and the lifting! xx

I also work with children (aged 3-4) and my PC advised me that going back 6 days later would be okay, getting worried now though seeing recovery stories!! Xx

    Hi girls

I have 17 days off altogether and I’m a nanny to a 2 year old and 6 months twins so I look after 3.
I’m praying I feel fine to lift them up x

You may feel fine, but it’s the damage the muscle is doing to your implant by displacing it when you are lifting heavy stuff, you don’t want your bobbies to displace or sit in the wrong position. Excess muscle usage with partials can also Increase the risk of CC.

    Be careful girls!! Xx

I think I might have 2 weeks off work and get a doctors note for another week, do you know if I can do that? X

I have an 8month baby and just started lifting her again (only from the floor to my knee etc, not high up or even Into her cot ) after 2 weeks, which my nurse told me is fine. I had overs tho, do you think this is the difference? I had an uplift too. Xx

Might be ok for an 8 month old, but for a 35lb+ 3 year old it’s quite heavy 🙂 x
