Had a voice mail from mya asking to call them back due to a problem with my GP letter. I can’t think of anything I my have missed out that my GP could tell them. I consider myself a very healthy person and rarely go to the doctors. My op is in 8 days. Is this enough time to resolve things? Time off work for me is limited as I’m a very in demand nail technician and beauty therapist with bookings up to October. I work in a very small team of 5 so getting cover is extreamly difficult. I’m so worried ?

Hey Leah, I would call you doctors in the morning to find out why. Did you call Mya back when they rang? I am sure everything will be ok xx

@leahlou93 it could be nothing! they could just have trouble getting your GP letter or you might have to pay for it before your GP will release it to Mya, that’s what happened to me x

I’m just thinking up all the worst scenarios in my head. I don’t want all my excitment to be built up for nothing. I’m goinformation to call them as soon as they open. X

Sorry this might be a bit of a stupid question but do MYA contact my GP or is this something I need to do and provide to MYA? No one has mentioned this to me so far and I have yet to have my pre-op (having it the 16th and my surgery the 6th of Sep) xxx

So basically I went to the doctors beginning of the year. I got a promotion at work and was feeling pretty stressed and anxious about all the extra responsibilities I had. I never had any medication or counciling ect. But mya asked for a little more info from my GP to prove this. They are you to be clear of antidepressants or counciling. So you making a decision on a sane mind. I guess it’s just to cover themselves. I haven’t heard back yet but I’m sure it’s fine as it was a one off appointment.

Mya will send you a GP letter which you have to sign and give to your GP. Signing it means you give your GP the right to let mya know of any health conditions or reasons why you may be unfit for surgery. I signed my letter at my pre op. They emailed it to me and then I emailed it to my doctors surgery.

On the brighter side… I just got my admission time ??

Leah, that’s good news! I received my admission time as well. As I couldn’t get on the day list I am overnight so my admission is 1pm. When is yours? Xx

‘The nurse has sent your letters to the clinical lead for final decision. We will let you know as soon as possible what she advises’ … little bit worried as to why this needs a final decision and what they are going to advise ? they are closed now. So have to wait until tomorrow for a final decision… the uncertainty is killing me. Such a minor thing aswell.

My admission time is 7:30am if I get the all clear xxx
