    Hi all!
Hope everyone is doing well. I had my op today at London Fitzroy and it was SO easy. I can’t believe how worked up I got for the easiest thing.
Pain is currently fine, very manageable. I know it’ll probably get worse but I’ll enjoy it for now.
My recovery has been soo good. The nurse actually told me he had never seen someone recover so well. I don’t know if they say that to everyone but I was happily chatting away as soon as I came to.

The only thing I will say is that no one helped me into my macom…which I didn’t end up wearing. My partner really struggled to do up one clip and when he did I was in serious pain in that area. So, I put on my M&S 36DD bra. I’m not sure if that fits right so I will put pictures of my bra in this thread later to see what you girls think.

Will try and put photos of boobs in strapping on my profile, so just add me if you wanna see but please message first! X

@chris glad your op went well. It’s soo hard deciding on what back size to get. What size macom did you get? As I just got one and it’s so baggy, not sure I will even nearly full that out with my new additions.

    Hi Alcee.
Thanks so much I got 36 which I believe is a large and it was tight when I tried it on…and then my partner accidentally machine washed them and I don’t know if they got tighter…but, yeah! Get some spare bras just in case. The M&S ones saved the day! I might try a 36D in the M&S in a bit because I’m not sure I’m quite filling the DD. Really wish a nurse had checked it out for me! Ah well

    Hi, Kim. 🙂
Thanks. If I’m totally honest I felt like Dr Marcellino forgot a lot of stuff we had discussed… I’m actually not sure if I got unders or overs? I didn’t mind either way but I was initially told I would have to had overs, and he decided overs when he came to write on me…but then the post-op info said sub-muscular… No idea!
I don’t mean to panic you because I think he has done a wonderful job, but if you have any special requests make sure he remembers!
Anyway, I’ve got some photos on my profile now if you wanted to have a quick nose 🙂

Hi Chris! Congratulations! Do you feel heavy or tight? Or is it quiet comfortable? How were the drains ( if you had any) xx

What time did you have the op ? And what time did you leave Hun? I will go to the hospital myself and arrange for a friend to pick me up afterwards …

    Hi Claudia,
Thank you! I’d say tight. At the moment I haven’t actually got any sensation on the outside of my breast but a tightness on the inside… the best way I could describe it is if I did an intense chest workout and then put on a super padded bra. It’s not an awful amount of pain (my nurse told me off for trying to do too much, actually) and I went for a little walk to a chip shop and then to my hotel with no problems. Just sore when I move my arms in certain ways. Trying not too but you don’t realise how much you do use your arms!

    Kim –
I went for the op at half 1, I came out about half 8. I think I could have left a lot earlier but they all seemed pretty busy so the sort o f last few bits and pieces, taking my drains out etc took a little while…and no one told me I was to get dressed so boyfriend went and checked at the desk after we’d been waiting a while.
I’m not sure but I was under the impression you had to have a chaperone – is that just for leaving or?

Claudia – forgot to say about drains. Yes, I did have them and they were totally fine. Right one hurt a little bit more but, neither of them hurt much. Moving the strapping off my skin to do it actually hurt a lot more than the drains themselves! It was just a sort of light pulling sensation and then a little sharpness as it came out. Nothing to worry about, really 🙂 Hurt less than a piercing or a wax!

Wooohooo! I knew yours was coming up, but I hadn’t realised it was today – how exciting! I’m so pleased it went so well for you! Just had a peek at your pics and they’re looking fab. Make sure you don’t over-do it even though you feel ok, make sure you get a bit of rest too – and thanks for all the tips with the bras (and the tags 😉 ) x

    Hi Lauren,
Thanks 🙂 I am, can’t wait to see what they look like with the strapping off. Sleeping was a right pain though! x

    Annabel – Sure, I’ve accepted 🙂 x

Claudia – No problem, lovely. You’ll be fine! Have to say the worst part has been getting to sleep in the 45 degree angle. Hurts my lower back! Need to work on that. x

Congratulations Chris!! I was exactly the same, got myself so worked up on the op day and then it really wasn’t bad at all! Glad to hear you are feeling good! I had strapping so I didn’t have to wear a bra for the first week, maybe check with your nurse to see if you need to wear one?xx

    Hi, Louise!
Thanks, it’s so nice to finally have it done! I keep looking down and thinking, “These aren’t mine…are they?” Sure you know the feeling! How far post-op are you now?
Well, in the hospital I asked the nurse there if I would still have to wear a bra and he said yes… but mine has got like nipple holes and things – maybe yours was more supportive? I’m gonna take all my sizes of bra to the post-op next week and see what they say!
