Young baby?

Hi ladies I’m new to this site, my son is nearly 5 months old. how did you cope post op with a young baby? how long did your other halfs’ take off work? Thank you!

You will need someone to lift your baby for around 2 weeks. I’ve waited until my child is 3, even he needs picking up so my fella took 2 weeks off to care for him. Honestly, I couldn’t have done it with such a young baby as they need picking up, rocking, feeding so much and it wouldn’t have been fair on my little boy xx

its such a tough decision as i’ve read so many different experiences! my boyfriend will take about 10 days off so will have to do everything for me, my step mum and mother-in-law have said they’d help but I know it’ll be tough.

Hi my hubby didnt take any time off kids were at childcare through the day on week days. I had unders and after a week i was lifting my son in and out of his high chair and hes 2 next month. Thats the only time i pick him up he can walk up and down stairs and climb into his own bed. Just be carefull i reckon u should be okish after 10days if u have help from ur mum and MIL. I have kids from this saturday for a week on my own and il only be 3 weeks this friday and i had unders but i havent had much pain and healed really quickly but everyone is different xx

Hey. My little boy is 5 months old this week and my op is next Wednesday so ill let you know :). I’ve spoke to others that have children and they have managed fine with help from family. My hubby will have to lift him or our 3 year old untill I’m comfortable but hoping that won’t be too long as this is a re aug xxx
