Rhinoplasty Started by: han84

Ive just had rhinoplasty at MYA London, last sunday was my surgery date. Like you at first i was very worried about who i saw/chose etc. I decided to have a consultation with MYA because i have a few friends and work colleagues who had various procedures done with them and i was very happy with the great stories I had heard.

So I contacted them and within a week i went for my first consultation. I had booked with Nadja Collin who advised my friends on their procedures and i was glad that i could get an appointment with her. I was sooo excited, and the first meeting left me feeling very happy. Nadja is a true professional, and you can see that she is passionte about cosmetc surgery and helping to change people’s images/lives. This made me feel like i was in the best hands. She suggested that I saw Mr Gonschior for a following consultation with a surgeon. She told me he ws a facial specialist so again i felt like i was getting the best! Nadja gave me lots of info to take home on rhinoplasty which also helped me make an informed decision. No one pushed me into booking another appointment at all and within days i came to my own decision to see mr Gonschior. This again made me feel like i was in good hands. people that cared about you and not just another sale!

When I met Mr Gonschior I immediately wanted him to do my surgery. This is because he let me explain what i wanted in depth, and i felt like he understood me. Again he never pushed his views on me, but he gave me choices on possibilities that would suit my face. I never wanted to “shop around” beacuse after meeting Mr Gonschior i felt like i had met the best surgeon that you could find. I cant really explain it in words, he just made me very comfortable and i felt like he knew what i was trying to achieve, i trusted him completely, which is important with any surgery!

I am at home recovering now, the hospital is wonderful, the nurses are great and the care from Mr gonschior was fantastic he came in the morning to see me to discuss the procedure, he came after the surgery to check on me, and in the morning before i left. Maybe im just lucky, as everyones body is different, but i dont really have any swellin or bruising, and i do believe part of it is down to the detail and attention that Mr Gonschior gave me during surgery beacuse when i came round my face and dressing was clean and tidy. I was expecting to look like a monster but really i just looked like i had some bandages on! of course i was slighlty bruised but it wasnt alarmingly so.
Therefore I would strongly advise to see him and see what he has to say, but also listen to your Patient Co ordinator. My patient Co has a great wealth of knowledge in this industry and lots of my questions/concerns were answered by her!

Also try not to worry about the process, I worried lots and that is probably my only regret, because in the end, on the other side of surgery it has all been an amazing experience with no need to over think things. The Mya team really ARE credible people and i cant thank them enough for their continuing care and support.
