Hi girls I’m 12DPO and my left boob is more swollen than the right ( I know they heal at different times) but the left has also now got bruising on the side, near drain site. When I had the drains removed the left bled more and the ward nurse told me to watch for signs of a haematoma, can this occur 12DPO or do you think it’s just bruises coming to the surface? Thanks

Hi thanks Susan that reassures me a bit more, have you been back to see your nurse or called them about this? I think I might do tomorrow just to be on the safe side

I had a bad experience with my right drain and 2 weeks on it’s still black! My nurse said it was normal and it’s because my body had been through so much stress xxx

It’s just hard to know what is and what isn’t normal! I’m probably worrying for no reason xx

Hi Hun I’m pretty sure bruising is s good sign of no haematoma when my boob swelled double the size and had s bruise type feeling they where worried I had haematoma as there was no brusing to the site where it hurt my nurse said usually bruising is a good sign of no heamatoma as the blood is coming out to the brusing xxx

I think its normal hun, i think you would feel unwell maybe breathless etc if it was a heamatoma.
I went 7 days post op the pics were taken at my appointment and she was worried at all, i agree with Stacey babe.
Go off how your feeling, the bruising is completely normal mine is still blk nearly 4 weeks post op, will post a pic of how it is today
