    Hi I’m 13 days post opp ..I’ve had my first shower this weekend without dressings on I noticed a red patch under my boob where i was cut ..ive attached a picture , is this normal or can it be a sign of an infection ? It doesn’t feel painfully when I touch round that area so dont know if im worrying for nothing ?

    Hey, I can’t say for sure what’s going on on the inside but it doesn’t look too worrying to me on the outside, if the incision had come open or was oozing then I would be worried, also if it it started to spread/go a darker or black colour, or if you was having temperatures. I would monitor it or maybe jot some pen marks around the area so you know if it’s spreading or maybe just from showering. If you’re still concerned then ring your MYA xx

    Ok thanks ill draw around the area and see tomorrow if it’s worse , hopefully its nothing xx
