I’m 6 weeks post op this week and was wondering what everyone had been advised? When we’re you advised you can stop wearing the surgery bra and what bra’s can you start wearing and when? Just been to Ibiza for the weekend, I asked my surgeon what I could wear and she said I’m happy for you to wear whatever your comfortable in just be careful. I called the nurse yesterday and she said I should wear the surgery bra until my 3 month appointment?? I wore swimsuits whilst away and have felt absolutely fine. So confused so just wondered what advice everyone else has been given! x

I had my 6 week post op appointment Monday and she said I can wear any bra even under wire, she said not to wear push up bras till ive seen sergeon though if i wanted to wear one. I’ve still to wear my surgery bra on a night too till I meet surgeon in 6 week. I think alot get told different tho which is annoying xx

I’m 9wks post op. At my 6wk appointment I was advised not to wear underwire or padded bras straight away. I was a little disappointed as I thought I was going to end up wearing horrible granny bras lol! But there are some lovely bras you can buy which don’t have underwire & are good support still.. I’m not wearing anything with underwire until I’ve seen and spoken to my surgeon at my 3mth appointment just to be safe! Paid a lot of money for these boobs so I’m doing everything by the book lol. Xx

I think double checking with your surgeon is probably the best bet as I think we all get told different. I had a check up yesterday (2 weeks post op) and got told sports bra for another 2 weeks at night but any non wired bra during the day, after 2 weeks (so I’d be 4weeks po)I can choose to wear no bra at night and at 8 weeks I can wear underwired bras. I do wonder if it comes down to implant size type etc and how your body has coped so far? I have teardrops and so he’s said that now my my implants will be firmly in their pocket so wearing a supportive bra is to just help the round them out (as I had slightly tuberous breasts). He also suggested that if there was a bra I loved but had wire in to just take it out!
Your boobs look amazing by the way! 🙂

I had round unders, and at my week1 I was told to ware my breat band 24/7 for 3 more weeks ( 4 in total) witch is fun to hide under clothes ( roll on Monday)
I also have to ware my post op bras for 5 more weeks (6 in total ) 25/7 then after six weeks I can ware any bra including under wire, me thinks I should check now on my 6 week check up. Xx

Was told by nurse post op bra for 1st 6 weeks, then continue to wear it at night. After 6 weeks a non wired bra, wired for a special occasion. After 6 months any bra I choose.

For work £20 Sumptuously soft Bra in M&S I have been wearing they are in different styles no underwire no padding and very comfortable. I just brought a dress for a wedding thinking I would have to find a different bra and the plunge one looks great under my dress. Xx
