achey bum

Is it just me or has anyone else got a sore and numb bum from sleeping upright, I wake up in the night it’s really numb and I can’t move and in the morning it’s really painful…. currently 2DPO also it’s quite sore where the insicions are I’m guessing that’s the norm.

Hey yes ha ha sometimes it gets painful and can’t feel my bottom….it’s so uncomfortable:( when are we allowed to sleep in other positions ? Xx

Try putting a pillow under your thighs near your bum, that really helped ease things for me xx

@cgargano91 omg achey bum is the worst haha! It gets better tho Hun, I’m now 6DPO and I think it’s used to it now xx

@cgargano91 I’m 10days post op today and last night my bum felt so numb like it was bruised. I’m so fed up of sleeping upright – I say ‘sleeping’ but I’m not getting any sleep at all tbh. I went to my post op appointment on Tuesday and asked the nurse about being able to lie down flat again and she told me I had to Sleep upright for the whole 6 weeks at least 🙁 gutted!!! Xxx

@claire is so strange how they all tell us different things. I’ve been for my 1wpo today and the nurse has told me I’m ok to sleep however I feel comfortable. Xx

@claire-marie omg 6 weeks upright! I get no sleep either it’s horrible. I just want to lay flat xx

@cath69 i know, i havent really seen alot of people on here say they have to sleep upright for so long so i was so annoyed when the nurse told me i couldnt lie flat 🙁 Which surgeon did you have? Because apparently the nurse is advised by the surgeons.

@hannahlaura i know!! So gutted, i’ve had a migraine for 5 days straight now – I stopped taking my antibiotics as the 7 days was up on monday and i’m no longer taking pain killers so all i can think of is that my migraine is caused by lack of sleep 🙁 Good luck for tomorrow btw! You will be fine and you’ll be so relieved to have that strapping off (the itching is so much less now ) xx

@claire I’m not with mya Hun so maybe things are different from surgeon to surgeon. I will probably still lie on my back just not propped up coz I don’t think I could lie on my side just yet. They would feel as tho they were going to fall out lol xx

@Claire-marie Yeah it probably is from no sleep hun. Which surgeon did you have? I think I am only going to do 2 weeks upright or I’m going to go insane! Thanks, can’t wait to get rid of the strapping xx

They gave me ibuprofen, codine and paracetamol xx

I’m just on cocodamol and antibiotics x

Coco Damon is basically codiene and paracetamol… I didn’t get given any antibiotics.

I’ve been sleeping with three pillows so slightly upright, I couldn’t stand it anymore I just couldn’t sleep like it!

just had my first night and oh my god is my lower back killing me from sleeping at an angle! Im in no other pain so don’t want to take painkillers just for my back

The bone above my bum really hurts xx
