    Hi ❤
I’m new to this forum and have recently had my surgeon consultation with Dr Sleiter at the New Victoria Hospital. I haven’t booked my op date yet.
I have lots of silly questions and wondered if anyone could help.
Has anyone been operated on by Dr Sleiter? He has suggested I have 275cc as I said I didnt want to look too top heavy (I am 5ft 2) and would like to achieve the natural look but since my consultation I have been wondering whether I should go slightly larger and go for the 300cc, I am still undecided.
What do people wear on the surgery day? Also what is the process after the op? What do you do in the room whilst you wait to go home?
One of my other concerns is my 1 year old and having the reply on my partner for 6 weeks to do the nursery drops as I will not be able to lift her in and out the car. Has anyone had surgery with young children & how have you managed?
    😊

    Hey Laura

    Welcome to the forum 😊

Don’t be silly they are not silly questions these are normal questions everyone would worry about 😊
I never went with Mya but I went to the hospital In some comfy leggings a vest top and a zip up hoodie all in pink haha
I come home in some pj bottoms and my macom sports bra and the same zip up hoodie I went in I’m not sure how it is at my but
when I had the op after you wake up in recovery they take you back to your room and let you come round abit more if your still drowsy then they’ll get you something to drink and eat which is usually toast I had coffee
I had unders 3 weeks ago they’ll make sure you have had something to eat and drink it took me about 4 hours after the op to come round even then I was still abit drowsy but I had to show I could have a wee before I could go home i had drains put in so had them taken out too before I was able to go once the nurses were happy to let me go they helped me get ready and helped me outside to the car where my husband had picked me up
In the room before I went home i couldn’t really do much I was just in pain and so sleepy and drowsy so all I wanted to do is go sleep I had lots of texts on my phone but couldn’t reply to anyone just yet
    every ones experiences vary
Ino people with overs and they seen completely fine not long after the op
I have a 4 year old girl and an 11 year old boy
Both of them don’t need help getting in and out of the car my husband does the school runs
but one thing I did struggle with because my husband couldnt do it is brush and put a bobble in my daughter’s hair for school everyday
That’s one thing I struggled with it Hurt so much everything else my husband did like cooking cleaning etc for the first 2 weeks

try to get your partner to do most things especially the heavy lifting

Are you have unders or overs xx

    Hey 🙂
I had my BA with Dr Sleiter at new Victoria nearly 5 weeks ago (bloody hell time flies). I had 325cc hp overs. I was a 34B and now I’m a 34D. Can I ask what cup size you are now and what you’d like to be? Also are you having overs or unders?

The New Vic is such a nice hospital. You will get your own room with an en-suite which if I’m completely honest was nicer than most 4 star hotels I’ve stayed in. I got there about 11.30 and went to surgery about 14.30. They give you a gown, paper knickers and a dressing gown type thing to wear to theatre, as well as a pair of stockings. All of which they get you to put on pretty soon after you get there so you are ready to go whenever. They also give you a jug to wee in for a pregnancy test. Dr Sleiter came in about an hour after I got there and drew on me, went through paper work and answered any questions. The anesthetist also comes and says hi. After all that there was only about an hour to waste. There is a TV in your room and free WiFi so I just watched Netflix till the time came. Also there was a delicious menu they brought to pick your post op meal so I wasted some time picking a gourmet 3 course meal 😂.

The nurse walked me to the anesthetic room where a ODP had a chat with me about General life, put a cannula in, then the anesthetist gave me some meds, fell asleep by the count of 5 and then I was awake again new boobs in place, in pretty much no pain.

Was taken back to the room and given water and some IV paracetamol. After about 30 mins my meal came (Brie and garlic mushroom pancake with broccoli, tomato soup, New York cheese cake. All so good!). You have to stay 4 hours post op and in that time, eat, drink (and not vomit too much) and have a wee. The surgeon will come see you post op as well and the pharmacist to bring your medicines to take home. The time after the op flew by!! You can have any visitors come and go as they want.

I changed into some button up pajamas about an hour post op and honestly just chucked a coat over the top and put some shoes on to walk to the car later 😂. Had plans to look more presentable but just couldn’t be asked at the time 😂.

I don’t have young children but I am a children’s nurse. I’ve been back at work since 3 weeks and have been lifting children just fine. I actually hadn’t even been thinking about it, only just occurred to me I probably should t have 😂 but it’s all been completely fine. Had no pain since 2 weeks tbh.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. And sorry for the bloody essay!

Thank you both so much for sharing your experience with me in such detail.😊 I really appreciate it.

I am having overs. Currently a 32D – since having my children my boobs are flat on the chest so wanting the volume back, which is prob why Dr Sleiter suggested the 275cc as I do not want to go too big.

Wow the hospital sounds amazing, I am looking forward to it (when I get hold of my patient coordinator and book it!).

Did you ask Dr Sleiter to explain why he chose 275 for you? I was worried that I was going too big so had a second consultation with him and he explain how he wouldn’t want to go smaller than 325 because of the width of my chest and the amount of loose skin to fill. He told me if I went smaller he feared they would sag quickly or not be the fullness I wanted.

If you can’t get hold of your PC try phoning. I emailed my PC last week and hadn’t heard back so called today and got out straight through to her!

He just said it would be perfect for me as I said I didnt want to go too big and also taking into account my measurements. I will speak to my PC tomorrow. I missed her call and then she was out of the office, she said she is back in tomorrow afternoon so I may ask if he can order both sizes in for me and I decide on the day.

Yeah that’s what I did I got him to order 300 and 325 and then I chose on the day. Honestly I’m really happy with the size I picked (I went with the bigger on the day). Now I don’t wish I went even bigger but I’m glad I didn’t go smaller. It’s hard to explain but because initially they are swollen and bigger and then you look at them everyday and get used to the size, then they shrink a bit and you at like “damn even bigger would have still suited me” 😂😂.

And this is coming from someone who wanted small boobs and the natural look. 25cc isn’t going to make a lot of difference just give you more/less fullness

Honestly though don’t stress about it too much they are going to look great either way and you will still be so so happy after!! I obsessed so much and I look back like god why was I so stressed over 25cc!
