Antibiotics?

Hi girls

I had my op today!! Everything went okay and I left with paracetamol and cocodamol, are you supposed to get antibiotics to to help with infection ??

Hi Hun I did 5.5 years ago but must have all changed now as I had my op yesterday and didn’t come away with any maybe they give you some whilst your under anaesthetic xx

I had my op two weeks ago and was given antibiotics and pain killers not sure why you not got them I was told it was normal to have antibiotics x

Had mine 9 weeks ago and was told to religiously take the antibiotics even if painkillers weren’t needed so would definitely ask why you weren’t given any! Glad your surgery went well though yay boobie club lol xx

I never got giving antibiotics Georgina. I got codiene, paracetamol and ibuprofen. I’m sure they put the antibiotics in the drip that we had x

I had antibiotics through canula and then had a weeks worth to take away,but I’m not a MYA patient x

I had mine on Tuesday too I got antibiotics and co-codamol. I’m in agony today feel like my nipple is exploding.

I’ve just rang and spoke to a nurse who said my surgeon didn’t think I needed them, apparently they only give you them now if you need them !!
