    So I quit nicotine 2 weeks prior to surgery as advised by my dr fiumara and dropped to 0% e liquid, then after my op I haven’t smoked anything because I was told not to risk it. My question is, when did you go back to smoking or Vaping if you did? I’m a much happier person with nicotine in my life ????

    Who is your surgeon? I had Mr Netri. I know some surgeons do nicotine tests but luckily my nurse told me mr Netri doesn’t!!!! I think it’s more the anesthetist ( mine gave me a funny look when I said I’d had my last one at 4am before I was admitted at 11am) xx

    I was advised to quit nicotine 4 weeks prior to surgery and at least 3 weeks after. I am now 2 weeks post and i am about to break down!! I need nicotine in my life but too scared from the risks especially that i had a lift as well not only augmentation, so ive got so many stitches that i still haven’t removed and everyone is scaring me about the wound healing and tissue dying from nicotine and nipples falling. Is that true or are they exaggerating? When did everyone of you quit and go back to nicotine?

    You supposed to stop 4 weeks before and 2 weeks after. Nicotine slows downs the healing process because there is less oxygen in the blood. Which can cause problems like infections. But few of my friends had it done and they never stopped.
    My op is in 6 weeks, so I started using 0% nicotine ecig liquid and so far im ok on it 🙂

    @barlin i quit exactly 26 days before my surgery, i went cold turkey, no 0% nicotine vape also, avoided being around any smokers as well as advised by my surgeon coz passive smoking is just as dangerous as first hand smoking. I tried being a good girl as much as possible, my first week of quitting was hell, i was hoing crazy like heroine addicts, had fights with almost every one hahaha then the physical cravings got better but the psychological ones are still hitting me. First week after surgery i was in sooooooooo much pain like i was dying and was talking to myself “what did i get myself into, i so regret this” coz aside from the surgery itself i had so many other complications from the anesthesia and infections from the urine bag and antibiotics!! And that’s how much pain i was in so didn’t really think about anything except to get rid of my pain. After that week i started feeling myself again and myself needs a fag. So i am wondering if i can go back to smoking now. I am 16 dpo

    I had my last cigarette the night before my op and was honest with the nurses the next day they didn’t say anything about it tbh, surgeon didn’t even ask me on the day. I’m now 11dpo and had one last night coz I was so stressed with a family issue! Not had once since tho figured if I have gone this far already see how long I can go lol! Saw the nurse yesterday to have bandages off and she said I’m healing really well x

    @lindsey i an glad you are. I cant wait to go back to my normal rate of smoking which is like a pack a day haha i know that’s too much but I’ve already done my part and quit before and after surgery for the period specified by my surgeon so i deserve to pamper myself as well

    @lindsey Who was your op with Hun? Trouble is apparently some surgeons do a nicotine test and some don’t, just hope I don’t get turned down for the op! But well done to you! You’ve done really well!

    @barlin
    it was done through Mya my surgeon was Dr Mounir. He only mentioned about giving up at my consultation with him. It was only the nurse filling in my paper work who asked if I had still not smoked, but had no tests thank god lol! I’ve had an op at my local hospital before nothing like this but don’t remember them telling me to quit but I suppose the hospitals have to cover themselves x

    @danielle it depends on your doctor. Mine said 4 weeks before and 3-4 after. Another girl was told 2 weeks before and 2 after. And another was told 2 before and 6 after so it is confusing. Just ask your nurse or doctor they know better your case
