Have you had surgery at preston? How did you find the travel if u did? Xx

I haven’t yet, my surgery is in November. The travel really isn’t bad, it took me 3 hours to get to Newcastle and it’ll take me 4 hours to get to Preston on op day xx

Yeah I had my surgery at Preston, I stayed at a hotel nearby the night before and night of surgery and we drove up the next day. Was fine a little uncomfortable took three or three and a half hours. Had my consultations at Newcastle and I had my pre op and meeting with the surgeon on the same day so I didn’t have to travel as much xx

Im in fife. Tbh the drive for me was awful, only due to my own anxiety of driving tho not pain. Just make sure to get ice packs for the journey, boots do the ones you squeeze and goes ice cold. A godsend. P.s staff at preston are amazing. X
