ANYONE USED/TRIED USING FIRST MEDICAL LOANS???

I’ve applied and been approved and got to send my wage slips n bank statements…has anyone been approved but after that they have said no??? I asked my PC n she sed its 99% approved at that stage but it just seems too easy??? As I’ve got bad credit n they haven’t asked for guarantor or nething!!!

I have to apply for a loan this month for my BA in August and I’m totally bricking it!! I only work part-time but my Dad said he would be my guarantor if I got declined for the loan by myself.

Did you do it over the phone? What do they ask you? Lol, freaking out.

I did an online application on there website…they send u an email to ring them once they have a decision then they ask how u wana pay it over how long and then they just sent out the stuff to sign !

hey i tryed with first medical loans and they said my partner didnt have a credit rating so said id need a garontour,so my dad done it and they still said no!! think they are quite stricked and the interest is really high so iv just got a loan thro my bank to pay it alot cheaper xx

Ah right, sounds pretty easy, I doubt I’ll get accepted for the loan by myself anyways.

Yeh I’m borrowing 2400…over 12 mths so 200 a mth to pay off ! I asked them there what it means now and they said they jst doublee check the amount u earn is what u say and check u cn afford it compared to your outgoings! I spend about 500 a mth on clothes bt he sed that isn’t included! X

They were useless, ended up causing to many probs like a week before my op which is this friday and i had already been accepted & mya had overruled them with the amount to give me £500 more than they offered. I got asked for bank statements. passport & wage slips all sorted sent in sed fine signed me contract then they wanted loadsa other detials, gave them in then never heard, i called them everyday and they said was with underwriters EVERYDAY!!!! and would get a call back, never ever had a call back i have like over £50 worth of calls i made to them. Then they finally tell me, need all these other details, like tenancy agreement, proof of my rent being paid and otehr random Sh** basically. Then they said all fine, approved me £2k, then basically need another £500, spoke to mya and they said they would overrule it for me with them get them to add it on send new contract then done….so done that signed once again, then called everyday….still no call backs then they tell me they need letter from my landlord sayin i live there and receipts from my rent being paid……not happy after was told that was it, so borrowed money off my dad and paid in full……that process of getting no where took me 3months. Useless. xxx

I have applied with them – sent off forms this morning. Partner and I are making a join application as I have bad credit (but earn way over a grand a month), while he has ok credit but earns under 1k. We rent. No idea if we’ll get it but it’s a tricky one as my op is booked for 23rd May!!!!!!

oh god! i hope mine is ok…! ill literally stalk them! i was yesterday and today and explained it and so he emailed the forms instead of sending them to speed it up and said if i sent today will get back to me hopefully by the weekend as im meant to be paying it on saturday! lol

i hope they dnt mess this up cos have booked hotel and the week off work for my op!

I applied for the loan with them like at the end of March/ begining of April and they said no, coz my dads gf didn’t have a very good record and she went on the app with me. So I was just saving the money myself and had booked my opp 4 the 14th Sep. Then last week I got a call from them saying I can have the loan and they sent me the forms so I sent them back this morning… So hopefully I’ll be having my op next month on the 17th, that’s if they say yes, if not have 2 wait till September. I got a loan with them, was a bit of a mess but was all OK in the end. I got the full £3750 over 12 months so £312, really steep but couldn’t do it any other way! Just pleased i managed to get the money at all! xx

I have got mine thru them spent weeks sending my stuff off and waiting for them to get back to me they never did,, I had my nan on as a garnturee even tho I have good credit I thought there is no way they can decline with my nan as she works round the clock she lives in the isle of man which took soo longer to get them back to me then they come back saying they would only accept 3300 and not the full 3850.. Random I think they pick and choose who they wana give it to and how much they get my nan has the best credit in the world so I very much doubt it goes fully on credit. If they see you spending in the same shops each month or betting firms or anything regular going out thata wat they look as the lady from there said, they left it till half n hour before my consultation with the surgeon to bring it all up and completely recked my head lol but I love them for giving me the 3300 xx

It took about four days i think?….maybe five xx

I have written them an email and mentioned i have heard it can take a few weeks etc but i got an email back sayin they receivedmy details today and someone will call me by 6pm tomoro with a final decision

I only need to borrow about £1300 I am in part-time work, so my Daddy said he would be my guarantor, but he’s self employed? Will this make a difference? Ohhh I’m so nervous, my op isn’t until August… is it too early to apply?

Well after that post I actually got a call today! She just asked about a few things on my bank statement like what they were and has asked for me to get a copy of a utility bill to them

i just wanted to let people know that not to be put off by a few bad cases with first medical loans, i have had the best service i could of asked for…SO FAR!

i made online application friday 29th…got forms in one day…sent off bank statements etc and got a call next day to ask for a utility bill which i faxed over today at 10am and just got a call now at 5pm to say its all done and MYA are aware of the payment coming from them….

so fingers crossed they see it thru before my op! lol

Does anyone know whey people are being asked or utility bills? It doesn’t say you need to send them? I I maybe if you’re not registered on the electoral roll so they can confirm your address? I’m waiting my decision and everything is booked so hoping they don’t change their minds! X

i think so…they rang me the day after they received my bank statement to ask about a few payments on there then saidthey needed just one utility bill with my name and address on so i think its prove of address, im not on the electrol roll. xxxx
