Hi girls first time posting on here! I’m having my surgery Friday 3rd November so not long! Having 400cc unders and having two weeks off from work – does that sound like long enough? Worrying about everything! X

Depends on what your job is really. I had 16 days off- im a nurse. I struggled with lifting and rolling and was uncomfortable at the end of my shifts (10-14hours). Its not impossible by any means but i was still taking pain releif at that point.

I had partials and was ok after 4 days, went back to my part time job at a supermarket which is high demand for wok (you can probably guess which one) ! I was fine!!! I took two week off but probably could of gone back after a week! My manager also had one done and came back and started lifting all the fruit and veg which is so heavy after 2 weeks!!! However you know your limits. Don’t dose up too much on pain killers if it does hurt because you could pull something and you wouldn’t know because your numb, if you get me? Without meds you’re aware of your bodies pain and aren’t blocking it out! I did my first shift yesterday and if I felt it was too strenuous I just went a bit slower xz

@hannahjenksx I think it will all depend on what job you do. I’ve had unders and I work on a farm where literally everything I do is massively physical and I was back under two weeks, not because I was in pain but because I didn’t want to do any damage to anything that wasn’t strong enough yet. But having worked in an office before I know I could’ve managed to go back to that much much sooner. Like @dan1 said, everyone is different though and there isn’t any way to say how it’s going to affect you or how easy your recovery will be. Have to be totally honest though and say that even though I went into my surgery thinking I knew everything I needed to know, I was not at all prepared for how restricted I was following my surgery, and I consider myself to be made of tough stuff! But with the right rest, help, medication etc by day 5 you will feel so much better xxx

I had unders 2 weeks ago and haven’t been in any pain since the op, I’ve not had to take a single pain killer which has completely baffled me. I could of easily gone back to work the next day as I also have an office job but a week was long enough. I think it just depends on each individual as everyone is different and recovery time may vary. X
