In need of some more bras, I decided to visit both Asda and Tesco today and do a comparison….

I already have Asda post surgery bras and I’m a 36C in those.

Asda sports bras are really poor support and I can’t believe girls are getting advised by certain surgeons to wear these. Unless they have others that wasn’t available in the store I went to, they are ‘low impact’ bras. Wearing a low impact sports bra is what has got me in the position of needing a BA in the first place. All post op girls should be wearing a really good support bra in their 6 weeks post op, otherwise what’s the point? So I wouldn’t recommend Asda sports bras at all.

Instead, I tried on one of Asda’s ‘total support non wired’ bras. Felt really well strapped up. I was a 36D in one of those.

Went to Tesco. Tesco have a range of low, medium and high impact sports bras. The medium impact one is a lovely t-shirt low cut type of bra. It didn’t feel like a sports bra at all, it was lovely to wear. And the high impact one is really, really comfy. In Tesco I’m a 32D.

So in Asda I’m a 36C or 36D, depending on the type of bra I buy from them. In Tesco I’m a 32D. This shows how sizes really can differ and I think it’s terrible that the back sizes differ so much.

Hey hun, Dr T told me not to wear a bra and if i did it couldn’t be tight so i don’t think in the way of support it will matter too much i suppose once ther dropped and after 6 weeks will be the time for getting the perfect support for our new boobies, if your looking for a good sports bra though im wearing a lonsdale one from sportsdirect, ther only £6 if you look there online, loads of colours and really comfy. xx

i have a tesco maximum support bra and found it awesome, i found it the best support of all the sports bras i bought and found it as good as the 30 quid shock absorbers from debhenams but 24 quid cheaper :) xx

I got told by surgeon and by nurse that must must must wear a good support bra 24 hours a day for 6 weeks. For that reason I won’t wear Lonsdale bras.

    I’m surprised at Mr T.

Girls – what have other surgeons recommended?

I know all surgeons at Transform recommend being fully supported for 6 weeks. x

Really well. I feel like my boobs have dropped already. The nurse said they’re quite soft but they still feel really hard to me. Bras are rubbing on my scars and that’s what’s annoying me at the moment. I drove today for the first time and that was fine. Slept well last night for the first time in a while. How are you? You must have had it harder than me with kids to look after? I have managed to rest alot and back to work tomorrow. x

I’m braless!!!! Already! Didn’t take me long to whip that off in a frenzy. And I think I might sleep flat on my back tonight too. God, I’m such a rebel. I’m going to have to calm myself down, this rock and roll lifestyle will be too much to take. x
