So I am going back to see the surgeon 9th August.Do I go for 295cc,325cc or 345cc.I am currently 38A with a broad back. She has said overs. Also just implants,or implants with a nipple lift,or uplift and implants which would be unders. The later I don’t really want as there are risks to the nipples as I am diabetic. Are there anybody on here who is diabetic and had an uplift with implants? Thanks

U need to do some personal research I’m afraid. U have so many options each will incur a different size/result if u go for an uplift it will cost more. Speak to ur surgeon again and go through each, try in sizers and look on realself.com to find out about after care, and implications of various uplifts.

Plus the fact u have diabetes may mean u cannot have a nipple or uplift so u need to get specific medical help rather than options from a forum. We are not health professionals

Something as invasive as surgery cannot be determined just by other people’s opinions it’s your body and money. I had a mini uplift with implants and saw my surgeon three times before my op. I researched for several months too.

Sorry if I come across harsh but u really need to speak to a professional especially with a condition as serious as diabetes.

I’d go for biggest implant with you having broad back Hun a smaller implant might not make much of a difference with having a broad back I also have a broad back and went for a bigger implant and glad I did too regards to uplift all depends on what surgeon has suggested would be better for you in the long run xxx

Hi Fran.sorry forgot to say it was the surgeon who gave me these 3 options herself. She also said if I just have implants I would have a lower decor. I did try sizers on also and they looked huge.Anyway I’ll ask her more next time.thanks.

Oh gosh hun she did give u quite a lot of choice tbh which can be awfully confusing.

To help narrow down everything I would go and see her again find out if the uplift is totally necessary and if not how long a ba only would credibly last without needing an uplift.

Having an uplift can give u a fuller look because the skin is pulled up so in theory u wouldn’t need the biggest implant on offer because the mid size would most likely fill u out well.

Also if u were to go with the biggest and u are borderline uplift but not definite u run the risk of needing an uplift sooner because the implants act as a weight on ur existing breast tissue causing it to droop down.

The uplift of necessary needs to be fully researched in terms of ur diabetes as I’m sure I’ve read anything with the nipple/blood circulation/cut off can be quite dangerous.

All in all think about the look u want. I pushed for a higher cc and ended up five cup sizes bigger. I was under the impression that having an uplift and having unders would make me lose boob. I was so wrong it was the opposite. My frame Def had something to do with it also but I thibk u need to bare in mind tht an uplift does make u super perky and fuller amd having broad frame they can work out which projection would suit ur chest wall dimensions best to even u out. Just ask wht she thinks but I would definitely go back again with a list of questions and ask all about the pros and cons to each. Bare in mind an uplift is a longer op, costs more and needs bit more recovery time but if u need it, it definitely saves a few bob in the long run and gets u decent looking boobs for longer. Fxx

Thanks Fran.Mr Traynor has also said I do not need an uplift,so I am confused.Mr Gianitrapani said I needed an uplift in one breast but refused to do it because of the risks. To be honest I don’t want to risk any damage,so will find out how long a BA would last.

Hi Nicola, I have seen on these forums that mr trayner doesn’t push uplifts as much as other surgeons. So he may be your best option if you decide not to go with the uplift as his done loads that my be similar to yours. I haven’t seen any surgeons yet but his one I do want to meet as I’m hoping to avoid an uplift and seen his work is very good x

Thanks Amy D. I think I am going to stay with the female surgeon.I can go locally for appointments, then only need to go down to Manchester once for the BA.
