Hi everyone – I just want to share a few tips and hope they help!

I’ve just had a BA on Wednesday, 275 high profile, under the muscle. The operation itself went well but I reacted badly to the anaesthetic so had to have lots of anti sickness while in hospital. I also had a bad reaction to codeine and the antibiotics so was sick even more from this!! This is something I didn’t expect so prepare for possible sickness. My boyfriend had to rush out to buy me some more anti sickness tablets bc it was so painful being sick so soon after my op. Make sure you have these at the ready, better safe than sorry, lol!

I also recommend ice packs!! They provide so much relief, help with swelling and pain so much so make sure you have these too, they’ve helped me so much!

Sleeping upright is hard but I’d been getting myself use to it before the op by forcing myself to sleep on back. Now it’s not as difficult as I’m used to it, this helped!

My mum has been amazing and looked after me 24/7- make sure you’ve someone around to help as even getting out of bed is a struggle the first few days.
She also wrote down the times and amount of tablets I took so everything was documented. It’s easy to lose track of what you’ve had and when so I suggest this too!

Hope this helps anybody preparing for their op and good luck xx

    Hi Lola
Thankyou for posting your tips. I’m new on here and am booked in for my surgery next week 6th September so I am getting quite anxious about being prepared for all eventualities. My mum will be looking after me too. Fingers crossed for a smooth ride xxx

Thank you for the tips. Have you shared an after photo on here at all as your size is one of the ones I’m torn between?
