Been told not to wear a bra post surgery

Ive been told not to wear a bra post surgery for a week but to wear a breast strap. Feel like i have no support at all. Has anyone else had this? Dont know whether to start wearing one just to feel more comfortable.

Not heard of this advice, I think most surgeons advocate wearing a post op bra for support and compression. I had overs so no strap but my friend had unders so wore both for 2 weeks and then just the post op macom bra
