    Had my surgery Friday!

I feel absolutely massive! I lost 4 stone prior to my surgery and now I feel huge! How long did it take most people for bloating to go? I’m going to try walking around abit more tomorrow as I feel better. I stopped taking the cocodomol yesterday also! But just feel huge 🙁

I’ve read so much about this, apparently it can take over 2 weeks to settle! Hoping you have a speedy recovery x

Hi girls mum has just given me some colpermin she had an operation last year and these helped her go to the loo and helped with her bloating. Fingers crossed, I’ve read things like peppermint tea are supposed to help with bloating aswell x

Hope you all feel better soon, although i am really quiet enjoying the updates on how you are all getting on pain wise, bloating, etc , i think it helps give me an idea as to what is in store for me, x

I have my consultation on the 9th may in nottigham with netri, I am hoping to have a ba with poss lift in august (just because i do not have enough time to have it done before going away and my sons birthday) I had a consultation with another company and they wanted to do a full lift with implants so waiting to see what Netri says as my pc said i may get away with a moderate lift and implants, x

I’m in the same position as you! I am 10 days post op. I came back to work today and I couldn’t do my trousers up this morning! It’s really getting me down – I know it’s impossible to have put on that much weight in one week but it’s still not very nice. I am hoping now I’m out and about and exercising (walked to the tube station etc) the bloat will reduce.

Hi Girls I am 7 weeks post op and had major bloating for 2 weeks and still a little extra tummy at 4 weeks. Only thing i found that made me go to the toilet is Prune juice but no point using until you finish your meds. x

Awww the thought of the bloating is so depressing!! I’m very weight conscious and I feel the bloating is just going to put me down and ruin the new boob excitement

That’s how I am! I’m stupidly obsessed with weighing myself and the look of my body now I’ve lost weight. So I am struggling to look at myself! Just got to try and think it won’t always look like this and it’ll go in time!

Just glad I’m not being seen by anyone for a few days as I feel a complete mess!! Positivity is key!

Yeah really frustrating to not know if I’ve put on weight from not being at the gym or it’s just bloat!

At least everyone will be focusing on our amazing new boobs and won’t notice out bloat! Bloat is temporary and boobs are long term hah

Does anyone know why the bloat happens?! I had other surgery recently (emergency removal of my appendix and they blow your tummy up with gas) so I understand the post op bloat from that. But with boobs?! I’m not looking forward to bloat when they’ve not touched my tummy! Help!

The bloating is due to the codeine in the medication – it slows down gut mobility and therefore causes constipation. The bloating is off the waste that is lingering. I didn’t even think of this to be honest and now I’m dreading it.. but as everyone here says it will go down and we all will get better

Try boots travel digestion tablets the are pro biotic so it’s like eating loads of pro biotic yoghurts which helps your digestion and helps very much with the bloating x

Thankyou!! Will give anything a go! It’s gone down a lot today from just taking colpermin tablets xx
