I’m 7 days PO today and still bloated. I was soo bad a couple days ago, it’s just all the medication doing it, the best thing you can do is try a laxative (If also constipated with the bloating) otherwise I’ve read that it just goes in its own time xx

I suffered terribly with this too. I am 11days post op. The general anaesthetic bloats you along with the pain medication, I was advised to stop the painkillers given at the hospital and switch to simple paracetamol. Or paracetamol/ ibuprofen if the pain is bad. It really helps…

Hi I’m currently 11 days op and still my tummy is hard and bloated. I’ve been off the medication for three days now. It’s so strange as normally my tummy is so flat.

How long did this take to go? It’s currently driving me insane! I’m 1 week post op and look heavily pregnant I’m so bloated! It’s uncomfortable too when I’m sitting cause it almost rests on me! My stomach has always been relatively flat bar the little kangaroo pouch post pregnancy so this is v weird for me, especially with my new boobs, I look like a robin!

    Hey ladies,

So reassuring to know I’m not the only one but also annoying to hear that this can last up to 3 weeks.
I’m 3dpo after having 350cc HP overs with Mr Sleiter (wizard of a man, my incisions are insanely small) and I’m feeling super depressed that my pregnant looking bloated belly is now bigger than my new boobs.
It has to be the general anaesthetic as the culprit as I haven’t taken any painkillers (I have been super lucky and haven’t experienced enough pain to reach for the tablets, fingers crossed it stays that way).

After going mental with drinking gallons of peppermint tea, walking around the house and self performing abdominal massages I thought enough was enough and drastically drank a whole litre of prune juice last night to help get things going. God usually a glass is enough to make you poop like mad (sorry for the TMI) but sadly it didn’t work, so now, as well as looking like Santa in my red macom with my excessively large belly, I have to put up with continuous gargling sounds from a clearly disgruntled digestive tract.
Let’s not even talk about how tight the macom bras feel… the bloated belly is making the macom roll up onto my incisions. Why is this happening to my life?! Omg never have I felt so damn unattractive. Between not sleeping a bloody wink because who the hell can sleep sat upright and the bloating, it’s taken away most of the excitement of having boobs 🙁 still I’ve been snapping a daily pic after I have a wash each day and can see small changes. Not excited about my large gap but Mr Sleiter did warn me he couldn’t fix that and said, “nothing a push up cant fix”.
