    Hi girls
It’s safe to say I’ve outgrown my post op bras, except for my macom. I was wondering if it’s ok to take my bra off for a few hours? I’m one month post op.
I plan on putting my macom back on but it’s unbearable in this heat!
    Any advice please? Thanks xx

I want to take it off for a few hours because it’s far too tight! I plan on getting a next size up tomorrow

how about instead of taking off you buy another one thats a bit more heat friendly, like the ‘normal’ M&S post-surgery bras or the ones from Matalan they have LOADS. you could change into them when the heat is unbearable for a few hours and then back in the macom again? i personally wouldnt go without anything for few hours at 4WPO good luck xxxx

The bras that I have and wear daily are from M&S and, as stated, last night it was too tight because I have outgrown them! My macom is very comfortable, just not heat friendly because it’s a slightly larger bra

Hey hun check with ur surgeon /nurse to see if u can wear a basic crop top bra instead of macom. My surgeon doesn’t suggest macoms post op and I was in a sloggi crop top thts 100% cotton from day one. Cotton is the best fabric in this weather as its totally breathable and will keep u a lot more cool.

When I wasn’t wearing tht I was in a John Lewis crop top that’s a cotton/poly mix it has a hook and eye fastening too. I’m nearly seven months post op now and not wearing a macom or super support bra hasn’t hindered my progress.

You’re ok to take ur bra off for a few mins each day but no more than an hour. I would tend to do this after bathing just to relax a but after a day at work.

Keep wet wipes with u to ease the boob sweat in the meantime

This marks and Spencer non wired is lovely also but mainly made of synthetic fabrics however it’s still quite lightweight and would provide a better fit for more structured support

    Hope that helps fxx
