It’s probably something to ask your surgeon! I’ve been having a bit of no bra time each day and I’m only 2 weeks post op- it’s just to have a little break from the tight bras!! Not sure about going out braless though!

My surgeon said to wear the medical/supportive bra for 6 weeks full time or 12 weeks half a day and that means you are allowed to take it off for a few hours. After those fulltime 6 weeks or part time 12 weeks you will just wear your normal bra whenever you go out etc.. however He said for the first 6 months after the surgery try to keep your boobs supported by any kind of bra (except wired) for at least 12 hours a day, because the implants are extra weight on your skin and your boobs might sag with this new extra weight. Also wired bras are not allowed first 6 months because they super lift your boobs and prevent the drop & fluff, meaning they will prevent your natural looking result. After 6 months you are allowed to do whatever you want no matter what it is and just completely forget you ever had a surgery one day šŸ™‚

I watched a video clip earlier by a surgeon and she said there is no scientific evidence that suggests wearing a post op bra makes a difference to your outcome, but some surgeons have a preference and it’s best to just follow what they advise so if you have a complication it can’t be blamed on you not following procedure!

I was told bra day and night for 3 weeks and then day only for 3 weeks. I was also told I could sleep on my back just not to pull myself up using my hands, that was at my 1 week post op when I asked the nurse, I think she thought I was mad sleeping sitting for a week. Also no strapping.
