Hi Girls, I have my consultation with my surgeon tonight which is when I will most probably book my surgery date!

I am the world’s biggest wimp when it comes to this and I am so so scared but have waited so long to finally get some confidence! Can someone advise me on how to keep my cool, is it as bad as I think it is going to be? what is the pain like when you wake up? I am more nervous for the GA as I have never been put too sleep before!

    Thanks x

Having a GA was one of my phobias , I had put this opp off for 8 years because I was so terrified ( im a nurse and have seen people been put tonsleep alot as a student put me off)
I can honestly say it was nothing at all to worry about most people say its a nice feeling. I can remmeber the ansethatist talking to me and a lady holding my hand then i felt heavy in my arms . Two seconda later i woke up pain free in recovery xxx

I had never had one before, but they’re so professional and the most experienced doctors. I was surprisingly calm on the day and just went with the flow. In the weeks running up to it I had some really irrational fears about the GA but it was honestly nothing at all to worry about. I had the best sleep ever in what seemed about 5 minutes and when I woke up, I felt a bit spaced but I was like ‘have I even had an operation!?’…. Oh yeah, boobs! Lol!
You’ll have a whole range of emotions and that’s totally natural, but there is no need to worry x

Hiya Hun I’m terrified of needles but honestly the day itself is an absolute breeze in my opinion, I had a little scratch in the back of my hand and woke up with fab boobies lol, good luck with your consultation x 🙂

Hi Shannon just had my op this morning and I feel absolutely fine. Don’t even remember anything after tha cannula going in. No pain so far. Had tea and toast. No sickness either.
Hope this helps. Ps I was a bit nervous walking to theatre though but they were all lovely.
