Can we stay in hotels beforehand?

Hi everyone,
My op is scheduled for 28th July at Preston First Trust. I was hoping to receive admission time today but didn’t.
I know that MYA guidance says you can’t stay in hotel before op due to covid but didn’t know whether this had changed due to restrictions easing? Is anyone else staying in a hotel before their op?
I live over 3 hours away from Preston so I’m just stressed I won’t get there in time 😩 xx

I’m in the same boat as you, I’m supposed to have my pre-op then isolate for 2 days before my operation however I was looking to stay in a hotel the night before too! I don’t think you’re really supposed to as you’re meant to self isolate but I think it’s unavoidable in some cases.

I’ll still be staying in a hotel despite guidance xx

Thank you! I agree, it’s definitely unavoidable in some cases. My admission time was 8:15am, so there was no way I’d have made it. Booked myself a hotel and was just really careful staying away from everyone and it was fine.
