I just got my admission time for Monday – 8am! Yay. However I noticed on the email it says there is a dedicated waiting area for chaperones, they can bring iPads etc to keep them occupied. Does this mean just whilst I am in theatre or whilst i am waiting in my room?! It says there could be a wait of up to 6 hours….not sure my hubby would appreciate been sat alone for 6 hours haha. Thanks x

I had my op at Fitzroy on Monday – it’s just an option if your chaperone wants to stay with you. My chaperone waited with me until all the admission stuff was done and then left and came back later x

@clairelou29 depends on the hospital I think but he can stay with you until you go to theatre definitely. If you have a single room to yourself he’s allowed to stay in there, if it’s a shared room he has to leave and sit in the waiting area or go out and come back later. xx

I didn’t think you had shared rooms. I thought you was in your own? Or does that depend on the hospital? Im at preston at the end of this month xx

@mrsk think it depends on the hospital. I don’t think there was any shared rooms in London, but I’ve heard of 2 girls sharing a room before not sure what hospital xx
