    Hi ladies,

Me again! I’m 14 days po and my compression bra given to me by the surgeon is getting more and more uncomfortable. I have washed them which I thought would help soften them up but it’s not helped at all.

The band is digging in so badly to my incisions and is making me feel worse. I have tried to loosen the the straps too to enable it to be pulled down but it just rises back up. I thought these were meant to help you feel comfortable not cause more irritation.

I’ve booked an appointment to go see someone about it but was wondering if anyone has had or is having this issue?

    Surely it’s not normal!

    Thank you x

Hi Sophie, thus exact same thing happened with both the Macom bra’s I bought. I ordered one from m&s and it’s so comfy, doesn’t dig in or ride up. I have a lipoelastic one too which doesn’t dig in I switch between those and the Macom as a last resort. It’s horrible, so uncomfortable. Hope your recovery is going well otherwise xx

I loosened it and it felt so much better. I honestly felt like it was making me worse pain wise! What m&s bra did you buy exactly I’ve seen a few online but unsure what to get!

    Thanks Ruth you too x.

Glad that helped a little it’s really not nice when they dig in. I’ll try upload a screen shot of the m&s one I bought, it’s just a bit of a bummer that it’s specific cup sizes.
    Thank you Sophie x

I bought m&s high impact sports bras and they were so comfy and zip up at the front too. I’m now 6 months post op and wear them for the gym ?

I’ve just opened the bottom two clips on my macom to sleep more comfortably… Makes such a difference. Can’t believe I didn’t think of it sooner ?

Hi girls. The post op Asda bras are sooo so comfy and highly recommended. I’ve also got a Yianna one from amazon which is more supportive which I’ll put on next week once my swelling has improved (only had mine done today) xx

Girls now I’m post op my m&s bra is doing the same thing to me! My stomach is so so bloated and yesterday I was in so much discomfort with it rubbing on my incisions! I think today it’s eased off a lot! Someone recommended drinking pineapple juice to reduce the swelling and it’s actually worked! I drank loads of pineapple juice yesterday and eat some fruit for vitamin C pineapples a anti inflammatory x

My bra feels like it’s digging in where my stitches are too. I bought a M&S bra in a 34E before my op as I thought this is the size I would be but I can’t get it anywhere near fastening. I want to buy another one but as I’m only 2 days post op I wouldn’t have a clue what size id need x
