Connective tissue disease and surgery

hey Can anyone help me. Does having a connective tissue disease effect you from having surgery? My friends booked in for surgery in April and just been diagnosed with a connective tissue disease. Any help would be appreciated xx

I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome and so far haven’t experienced any issues, I’ve met my surgeon and have my pre op booked in. Will update if I have any issues!
