Constipation after surgery

Sorry for this topic everyone.
But I’m currently 5 days post op and I haven’t been to the toilet since the day before my op.
I’ve tried :
Constipation tablets
Fruits & smoothies
Dates
Prunes and prune syrup
I’m lactose intolerant so I’ve tried dairy also.

Help 🙁

I’ve been taking movicol and not had too much of an issue with this. I’ve got Ibs and suffer with constipation anyway so I’ve been pleasantly surprised x

How long did it take to start working x

I take it regularly anyway for Ibs but didn’t go for 3ish days after surgery.. if you take a couple of sachets today I’d say maybe by tomorrow morning? X

I was the same hadnt been for 5-6 days but I took 1 dulcolax before bed and woke up felt nothing so took another and I went the toilet straight away maybe try this can buy from most supermarkets too x

I had this also and didn’t go until day 6! Just drink plenty of water, and move about best you can x
