Corona – preston 20th oct

Hi girls, has anyone got their op on the 20th at preston? Im coming from ncl for it and im worrying about it being cancelled due to covid, anyone else the same? X

I’m the same but I’m on the 17th instead and thinking about it being cancelled is making me sick haha

I think and pray it will all be fine- just I believe overnight stays will be banned- however it’s 333 cases per 100000 in Preston opposed to 800 per 100000 in Liverpool so I’m not sure about you but I think it will be less restricted in Preston

Thanks Chloe! Did you go to preston for your op? Do you know what you can/cant bring due to covid as ive heard you can only take limited things but wanted to take my laptop maybe and snacks haha? X

Yes I did! I took a lot compared to what I actually needed I think! I packed a robe (didn’t actually use it as they supply you one)
Slippers (didn’t use them cause I didn’t really move from my bed)
A button up shirt to sleep in (didn’t use it, ended up just sleeping in my hospital gown)
Snacks (didn’t eat them, felt nauseous from the GA)
Really all I needed was my post op bra, clothes for the following day, my pillow (for comfort) and my phone! I didn’t take a laptop as I don’t really use it.
The hospital didn’t say they had limits due to Corona, my bag was pretty big I think!! But I didn’t need anything I took really, I’d say just take the essentials!x

Hi Vanessa, im overnight too and my admission time is 1.15! have you gotten yours yet?
But thank you chloe! i just want to take it to watch TV or something haha but i suppose the worst they can do is tell me i cant use it or something – did you take your V pillow into the hospital? Sorry for all the Q’s im packing my bag now and want to make sure im sorted!

Mine is 12.30, still waiting for my phone call today from the hospital to confirm everything x

It’s no problem! I didn’t take my V pillow as the beds lift up and keep you upright! Just took a spare pillow for extra comfort!x
