    Hi all,

Had my 1 week post op consultation today. All is well with my scars and my new boobies are looking great ?

Although… I was just wondering if anyone else has suffered with the same thing as me – having dead arms? Like no strength whatsoever? My left is getting better but my right side is so bad I can hardly use it for anything!

My nurse said it’s normal but for one week post op it’s a bit slow… I feel like it should have faded by now and I’m wondering if anyone has any tips or anything?

I drove for the first time today (1 week post op) and my arms did get really tired holding the wheel. My arms do feel heavy and stiff and I don’t have much power in them but I feel like they are getting better each day. Do you feel like you’ve been hesitant to use your arms? x

Honestly, the strength in my arms just completely disappeared after my surgery and it took forever to come back. Even last week at 6.5 weeks post op I was struggling to get my car into 5th gear! But it is returning bit by bit.

    Hey girlies!

Yeah I’ve defo been hesitant! After seeing my nurse I think I’ve realised it’s more in my mind than anything, and I’ve just been scared of hurting myself. I already feel better as I’ve been pushing myself more since seeing her.

Thanks for the replies though as it’s so nice to know I’m not the only one ☺️☺️☺️ Xxx

Yeah definitely! Have a fear of undoing all the work my surgeon has done or moving the implant if I try and do something I shouldn’t! At what point did everyone wash their own hair? I’ve been booking in at the salon but really want to do it myself x

I think I had assistance to wash my hair until I was six weeks post op but I am a huge wimp! From about four weeks post op I was able to do most of it but still needed a little bit of help from my boyfriend for anything that required any bending or stretching. I was washing mine over the bath with the hand held part of my shower head.

I’m 10 days po now but I’ve been going to a hairdresser to get my hair washed and blow dried. I’m fine driving and I can use my arms alright but I have really long thick hair so even though I know if be able to wash my hair ok in the shower, I think I’d really struggle to dry it and straighten it myself as my arms do get tired realky quickly x

Hi sorry for the late reply!

One week post op was my first hair wash – I sat on a chair leaning over the bath and Mum washed it for me as I couldn’t lift my arms or didn’t have any strength yet!

Then about a week later I managed to wash it myself, again just leaning over the bath… The thing I needed help with then was putting the towel on and flipping my head back up haha!
Exactly two weeks post op was Valentine’s Day for me and I managed to curl my hair and put it in pin curls. I am definitely better now (just coming upto 3wpo) and have drove a couple times since.

    Xx
