Hi girls. Was so excited to see my PC and when I finally did last Wednesday she has lots of concerns about my medical history and the fact that I see a therapist for my depression however that is not based on body image it’s for something else ( I won’t get into it). I saw my therapist on Monday asking for a letter of confirmation to prove I am in a fit state to go through BA but she said she’s not sure if her company gets involved with that kind of stuff and shouldn’t really be relevant. In the meantime, my PC said she will ask my GP for my medical records which should of been done last Wednesday and I’ve just called my doctors and they haven’t received anything. My PC said despite the medical records I must absolutely provide a letter from my therapist of approval to go through a BA.

Now, I’ve been to other companies and yes all must see your medical records and stuff to see what medication you’re on to reflect what other services you are using i.e, therapy, but I think this is just too long winded to the fact that I don’t actually think it’s necessary and I don’t think my PC has actually been in touch with my GP. I want things to move smoothly and it shouldn’t take this long to get the ball rolling if you know what I mean. I’ve already been approved for a loan with my bank to finance my boobs but at this rate because it’s so slow going they’ve had to withdraw my request until further notice.

Eurgh. This is more than a rant than a post. I head bad things about MYA and communication with the PC’s and getting stuff done but I didn’t want to believe it until now I’m actually going through it. BA is such a personal thing I think we should be having 247 care before and after, especially when we’re trusting a company to change our bodies. ?
