    Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if anyone knows if implants look smaller when they are inside you as opposed to trying them on since when you are trying them on in a bra you are putting them on top of your exisiting breast? I know that if you go under the muscle you lose about 25cc but I was wondering if you lose a bit more because they are not on top of what you already have once they are in if that makes sense???

    Thanks in advance

Hi Claire im 10days post op i had 375cc put in I was originally an A cup. When I went to try on the implants they did look bigger and like you say you lose 25cc when they are in and me especially as they are under the muscle. At the minute they are not at their full potential as I havnt gone through the drop and full process but I would recommend going for the highest size you are offered. Hope this helps xx

Thanks Lauren. I am thinking 375 so they will be more like 350 (as I’m going under the muscle) but 350 did look that little bit too big, I am wondering if they will look a bit smaller than that. I liked 325 (so would have to go 350 to achieve that), but wonder if they would look smaller than 325 if that makes sense??? How are you feeling? I hope your recovery is going OK. My op is on 24th May, I’m excited and nervous xx

I really thought I would be bigger after choosing the 375 but I wish I went bigger.. im 5,7ft and just under 10st. I got offered the 325 350 and 375cc I really am glad I picked the biggest I think I would of been very disheartened if they was smaller, id say now the swelling is starting to settle im a D cup at a push from an A. Recovery is going okay the 1st few days was the worst especially with movement but it eased off alot after that, hardly any bruising and the incision is so neat, they have done a fantastic job xx

Hi Lauren. They may get bigger yet, I have heard that can happen in the dropping and fluffing process.

Yeah thats what the nurse said aswell, because they are under the muscle it takes a while for them to drop properly because of tightness that needs to relax, im not too worried they look really good and anything was better then what I had before 🤣 xx

Ahh that’s really good that you’re pleased with them, I hope I’ll be pleased with mine too. Who was your surgeon?

I had mine done by Dr mahdi at Preston, he was amazing cant fault him or any of the staff there. Iv definitely had a love hate relationship with them 🤣 but finally tried a normal bra on today just to see how they would look out of the support bra and I love them even more xx

Hi fiona, A love hate relationship, means one minute you love them and the next you hate them. Example a couple of days after surgery I didnt like how they looked but then once I saw them out of the support bra I loved them again. I know everyone is different but I spoke to a few people who also went through the love and hate phase.
